Karen's comments: These are not the same fit as the Thirsties sized Cover. The fit of the Duo is trimmer and the size runs differently. I don't want people assuming they are the same as the others but with rise snaps when they really do run differently - this one, the Duo, is narrower and trimmer.
I think the size change might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended below (baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess). Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over orange edge or yellow edge. Size Two fits over red edge or brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just laid in the wrap. A no-pinning delight or use over fitted diapers such as Workhorse diapers.
100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
If your toddler outgrows the size 2 cover, check out the Thirsties Cover in size Large. It has enough room inside to fit a very thirsty diaper. Thirsties Cover size large (not the Duo version) is the next size up from the Thirsties Duo Wrap size Two or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three instead. Thirsties Duo Wrap size Three is our largest cover.
These are my favorite covers. Karen is right, they definitely fit before 18 lb. I was using them successfully on my 14 lb baby on the smallest rise and tightest waist snap. These hold in everything. The few leaks we've had were due to operator error, either choosing the wrong snap setting or we somehow got the diaper bunched all to one side.
Great cover, I will definitely be purchasing more Thirstiest covers one my son is ready for the next size. Size is perfect to contain everything inside.
Best diaper cover I have found for my skinny toddler no leaks and they have adjusted to fit him since he was smaller. Size 2 since he was a year old and now he’s almost 3! Bought more for our newborn on the way in size 1!
I've used Thirsties covers for several years now, with two different children. I wish I could attest to the longevity of those first covers, but I lent them to someone who was very rough on them and dried them in hot tropical sun. But the ones I bought new for my second son are holding up very well with near-daily use for over a year. My size one covers fit longer than all the other newborn covers (Clotheez, Blueberry Capri), and my first son wore size 2 when he was three--my boys, especially the first, have full bottoms and thick thighs. The TPU does tend to hold poo stink for a few days after washing if the cover gets soiled, but doesn't stain much (I don't bleach them or put them in the sun, or their might be less staining). The gussets work very well at holding runny poo in. I do wish Thirsties would use a double row of snaps at the waist, as they do on their pocket diapers and AIO diapers. The single row can make it difficult to get a snug fit, and occasionally the diaper will poke above the clothing and wick moisture out because the cover folds down a bit. But I love the prints and for the price this is a great cover. I'm stocking up on new covers for my next baby due in February, and I've mostly bought these. I appreciate the great sales, too! And as always, GMD provides excellent customer service. I'm looking forward to receiving all the new covers I bought when my family brings them to me in Hong Kong!
I’m loving the way this cover fits my son! And the prints are adorable. Will be buying more!
