Karen's comments: These are not the same fit as the Thirsties sized Cover. The fit of the Duo is trimmer and the size runs differently. I don't want people assuming they are the same as the others but with rise snaps when they really do run differently - this one, the Duo, is narrower and trimmer.
I think the size change might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended below (baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess). Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over orange edge or yellow edge. Size Two fits over red edge or brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just laid in the wrap. A no-pinning delight or use over fitted diapers such as Workhorse diapers.
100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
Also available in a lovely packaged set of 5 coordinated covers.
If your toddler outgrows the size 2 cover, check out the Thirsties Cover in size Large. It has enough room inside to fit a very thirsty diaper. Thirsties Cover size large (not the Duo version) is the next size up from the Thirsties Duo Wrap size Two or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three instead. Thirsties Duo Wrap size Three is our largest cover.
This Thirsties cover is thin but holds all the wetness in for a heavy wetter. I also like that it is economical to use with prefolds and a doubler rather than buying other types of diapers.
These are my favorite covers. Karen is right, they definitely fit before 18 lb. I was using them successfully on my 14 lb baby on the smallest rise and tightest waist snap. These hold in everything. The few leaks we've had were due to operator error, either choosing the wrong snap setting or we somehow got the diaper bunched all to one side.
I purchased 2 Thirsties size two covers before my daughter was born thinking she’d get to them around age 2. Nope! By 10 months she had exploded into extra large diapers and size 2 Thirstie covers! In order to assist our diaper wash routine I came back for more Thirsties covers. Love the fabric selection and they are amply sized for tall, beautifully plump babies. Baby #2 is on the way, so we will be back for more as needed!
Love that the inside is completely wipeable and how well the two sizes have fit our skinny petite girl. I like the look of the snaps better but the hook and loop is quicker and easier when your kid is doing alligator rolls on the changing table. I have a mix of both!
I’m not one for bright colors and busy patterns, so I gravitated towards these all white covers and the Cloth-eez brand. I took a look at Thirsties because of the sale and figured we’d give them a try. I like that they’re made in the USA, but the feel just isn’t as soft as the Cloth-eez covers. Our little guy is small, maybe 14 lbs at 5 months, and we can get the size twos on over yellow pad-folded prefolds or workhorses with the tightest snaps.
