The snap version is here: Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap.
This cover has rise snaps. I think the size change from size one to size two might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended but baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess. Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over newborn orange edge or novice green or small yellow edge prefolds. Size two fits over medium red edge, intermediate blue edge or size large brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just placed in the wrap. If you need a cover to fit over size XL toddler prefolds, then you need the Thirsties Cover in Size Large or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three snaps instead.
This is a no-pinning delight, but you can fasten the diaper underneath. They also work very nicely over Workhorse diapers and other fitted or fastened diapers, too. 100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
I got these for my husband because he does not like snaps. We had some second hand newborn diapers gifted to us and he used those until our baby was spilling out of them instead of our OS w/snaps. I really like these too, probably even more than snaps! If/when we have another baby, I will probably order more of these! The diapers are very well made. Happy to support diapers made in the USA.
I bought several sizes of the "Fish Tales" and "Jaws" prints in this style of diaper cover. The covers really fit my kiddo well. They perform wonderfully at containing wet and poopy diaper messes. A bonus goes for the varied and cute prints. I initially bought covers in the snap form. I didn't realize that the hook and loop style has tabs to keep the Velcro from collecting fibers - so smart! If I had to do it again, I would have bought more of the hook and loop style. You get a more customized fit. Two thumbs up!
I’ve been a fan of another cloth diaper cover for years. It was the cloth diaper brand that my sister used with her children, and so I quickly fell into using them for my own children. Fast forward to my youngest child, who is chunkier than my older children and at 18 months was nearing the outer snaps of those diapers, not to mention that changing her had turned into a wrestling match. So, I did hours of research on YouTube, read reviews on the Green Mountain Diapers website and decided to try these. They are amazing! From the beginning of my cloth diaper journey, people have always said to stay away from Velcro (hook & loop), but the Thirsties hook & loop gives an incredible fit, and it’s extremely high quality, sticking well to the laundry tabs when in the wash or to the front tab when being worn. They have not yet stuck to anything else in my cloth diaper wash. The size 2 is great for my daughter (she still has room to grow), and we use them stuffed with a pad folded Cloth eez size large Birdseye organic flat.
Thirsties is such an amazing brand. I bought Bluebonnett size one duo wrap. My son is 6 months and just under 16 lbs. The hook and loop allows me to get a great fit around his growing legs. He is getting to the end with the size one but I will definitely be able to use them for our next 6lb baby when that time comes. I recommend hook & loop in size 1 for the smaller babies.
