Karen's comments: These are not the same fit as the Thirsties sized Cover. The fit of the Duo is trimmer and the size runs differently. I don't want people assuming they are the same as the others but with rise snaps when they really do run differently - this one, the Duo, is narrower and trimmer.
I think the size change might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended below (baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess). Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over orange edge or yellow edge. Size Two fits over red edge or brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just laid in the wrap. A no-pinning delight or use over fitted diapers such as Workhorse diapers.
100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
If your toddler outgrows the size 2 cover, check out the Thirsties Cover in size Large. It has enough room inside to fit a very thirsty diaper. Thirsties Cover size large (not the Duo version) is the next size up from the Thirsties Duo Wrap size Two or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three instead. Thirsties Duo Wrap size Three is our largest cover.
This Thirsties cover is thin but holds all the wetness in for a heavy wetter. I also like that it is economical to use with prefolds and a doubler rather than buying other types of diapers.
These are my favorite covers. Karen is right, they definitely fit before 18 lb. I was using them successfully on my 14 lb baby on the smallest rise and tightest waist snap. These hold in everything. The few leaks we've had were due to operator error, either choosing the wrong snap setting or we somehow got the diaper bunched all to one side.
I decided to try these covers because I couldn't find Bumkins anymore (they were my favorite cover over flats 10 years ago when I had my daughter) and these were the closest in style with the gusseted legs. I live that it's a one size so I don't need as many. The only issue I've had is that since there's not a middle snap for the rise, the material tends to "pop out" there and not stay tucked. They're still my favorite cover.
Love the pattern and adjustability.
I have a 4 month old and special needs 8 year old. These wraps work great for both. I’ve tried a lot of wraps and these are by far my favorite. They are so adjustable with the snaps. And no scratchy Velcro! They are light weight and not bulky so they are easy to move around in. Since they are adjustable, the legs aren’t too tight. And they go for quite awhile without leaks. My baby can go most of the night without needing a change or leaking. I would highly recommend!
