Cloth-eez Paper Towel Alternative - made of organic cotton

5 Reviews

2-Layer birdseye washable, reusable paper towel alternative cloth made of  organic unbleached cotton. Pack of 12.

Size: 13" x 13" before washing, about 12" x 12.5" inches after shrinkage.

Stock Status:  In stock. Usually ships in 24 hours.

Two layers of unbleached organically grown 100% cotton birdseye fabric sewn together with a center seam.

Pictures shown after washing. Birdseye fabric has little "birds" woven into the fabric. This is much smoother than terry fabric. Birdseye has a nice amount of "grippiness" to get stuff off with a balance of being smooth enough for softness. Two layers gives you the right level of thickness for absorbency, plus two layers of fabric helps them stay flatter. It gives them enough thickness so that it is easy to grab one. Single layer look-alikes curl up, stick together and are more difficult to handle. Having two layers of fabric makes them much better and easier to use. Paper towels can't compare to two layers of birdseye cotton.   Simple, yet so effective.

They can also be used as preemie diapers or layered as newborn cotton diapers.

We added a small seam across the wipe to help them keep their shape, yet cotton shrinkage will vary a bit of course. Like all unbleached cotton, wash several times in a regular size load of laundry, perhaps through 5-8 cycles, on hot with detergent before using.  This prep washing is needed to wash off the natural cotton oils present in unbleached cotton.  It needs to be washed off before the full absorbency of the cotton is reached.

Made of organic cotton. Made in Pakistan. In packs of 12 wipes.

Also available in a Kit of 4 packs of these Cloth-eez Paper Towel Alternative cloths.

A storage idea:

store unpaper towels You don't have to roll them but this is pretty. A simple stack on the counter or in a drawer works fine.

Great size and thickness but some frayed after 2 washes

I want to love this. It's a very generous size, absorbent, just the right thickness but after 2 washed, I had some unraveling and fraying at the edges.

Excellent Towels

I purchased these because I've been wanting to cut back on the amount of paper towels we use. As I didn't have any extra towels around the house to use for that purpose, I decided to purchase these. I use GMD cloth diapers on my kids, so I knew these would be perfect. These cloths are excellent. I prepped them just like I prepped diapers. They are amazing for cleaning little hands and faces, wiping down the counter, dusting, EVERYTHING. I'm thrilled that I have cut down on paper towel usage. I fold them in half and keep a stack in the kitchen. I currently have two dozen and that works really well for us. I do laundry every 2-3 days and I just throw any used towels into the load that I'm running. Great purchase!

I absolutely live for these! They are thicker than most unpaper towels which makes it easier to clean up spills and with 4 kids & 2 dogs, there are lots of spills!

Super absorbent easy to grab and use - already cutting back on paper usage! Soft enough for kids’ hands and faces but enough grip to clean a mess. I plan to buy more!

Love these!

Love these! Hardly use any paper towels anymore. They fold nicely and neatly. You can have one on the counter and use it for quite a few little wipe ups before throwing it in the kitchen cloth basket for washing. Grab another and good to go. Use about one or two daily in my kitchen. Husband taking to the gym for wiping down machines instead of paper towels they use there. Of course those don't go in the kitchen cloth laundry. I am going to get more as one dozen is not enough for us!
