Cloth-eez Birdseye Wipes - made of organic cotton

96 reviews

2-Layer birdseye baby wipes in organic unbleached cotton. Pack of 12.

Stock Status:  In Stock. Usually ships in 24 hours.

Two layers of unbleached organic 100% cotton birdseye fabric. About 7 x 7.5 inches after shrinkage with some variation. Before shrinkage they are about 8.5 x 8.5 inches. Fold in half to fit into a wipes warmer. Birdseye fabric has little "birds" woven into the fabric. This is much smoother than terry but not as smooth as flannel. Thus, they have a nice amount of "grippiness" to get stuff off with a balance of being smooth enough for softness. They can also be used as cotton diaper liners, to keep meconium off of your newborn diapers or if you need to use a cream but don't want to use a flushable liner. The cream will wash out of these more easily than a prefold or other diaper because they are thinner, yet you still might have to scrub creams off by hand. Easy washing and fast drying. Also great in the kitchen for little cleanups jobs.  This is close to a zero waste product.   Consider these for reusable toilet paper alternative use.    Make your own water wipes easily.

We added a small seam across the wipe to help them keep their shape, yet cotton shrinkage will vary a bit of course. Like all unbleached cotton, wash several times on hot with detergent before first use. Suggested amount: 4 packs for a young baby, 3 packs for an older baby. 100% cotton. Two layers of fabric sewn together to keeps stuff off your hands yet they are still thin enough to be easy to use. Made of organic cotton, exclusive of trim. Made in Pakistan. In packs of 12 wipes.

They fit in most wipes warmers when folded in half. Shown after washing folded in half:

There are many ways to use cotton wipes.  Here is one idea.   See how nice and flat these wipes are after washing?  Trim yet substantial since they are two layers.

A stack of three packs of wipes (36 total), shown after washing, with Diaper Lotion Potion Spray and a GroVia Magic stick (both not included).  The bowl of water on the left is for dipping.   Dip a clean wipe into the water and then if you need more cleaning power than water along, spritz it with the Diaper Lotion Potion Spray.   Or, touch the moistened wipe across a bar of gentle baby soap.  The wipes are fresh so no worries about mold.  You control the ingredients.  The water can be warm water for a fresh, warm water wipe.   Try putting warm water in an insulated beverage container and keep that near your changing place.   Wipes warmers are fine, but perhaps use something that you already own.    Young babies tend to prefer warm wipes.

Keeps hands clean and gets into the "nooks and crannies."

These are my husband's favorite wipes! They are sturdy enough to not leak any waste through on particularly messy cleanups and yet thin enough to clean all the "nooks and crannies" (yes, we call Babe an English muffin when we're cleaning his bum ;) ). They also fit really well in a Thirsties clutch for changes on the go! (FYI, you can also fit the little spray bottle in there with these if you don't pre-moisten your wipes.)

Best wipes ever!

I love these wipes. They’re thick enough to only need one or two for a poopy change but not so think that they’re awkward to use. I like the light colored wipes so I can see cleanup progress.

Wonderful wipes in every way

Have been using these wipes on baby for nearly 8 months and they have held up wonderfully. We use them moistened with water or with a few pumps of homemade foaming wipe solution onto dry wipe. These are the perfect size, one wipe is usually enough to get the job done. The textured weave works to clean easily, and the cotton is still nice and soft on baby. Another thing that makes my life easier is these come out of the dryer folded or neatly folded all on their own, they don’t wrinkle up at all and lay nice and flat. Extremely happy with these wipes all around and would definitely recommend.

I am unexpectedly surprised by these. I will be having my third baby in a few weeks. This will be my 3rd time cloth diapering. I buy new wipes with each baby just bc they get so worn out by the end of each child. I bought multiple packs of the velour wipes, but I know I needed some thinner wipes bc they are better for traveling. I bought these reluctantly. I wasn't expecting much bc these are just birds eye... Wow. Well I washed and dried these multiple times to prep them and I can tell these are going to be wonderful. These are not dinky, see-through, thin wipes. These definitely have some grip and weight to them for being birds eye. I believe they are double layered. Thin yet durable. Honestly, I wish I had bought 2 packs instead of 1.
