This cover is made of our signature very soft fabric and it is full cut in the rear.  Leg gussets, adjustable rise, true sizes so you don't have piles of fabric bulk to fold down in the front yet each size still does have one rise adjustment which helps you get a perfect fit as baby grows and changes shape.   It has two rows of waist snaps but you don't have to snap them directly above each other. It is ok to leave the waist snap wider or make the leg snap snugger if needed to get the right fit for your baby.

SIZE ZERO -  READ THIS - The Size Zero could be the nicest newborn cover there is for fitting under the umbilical cord, but choose a diaper under it that is small enough to actually fit under it.  For prefolds, choose newborn, newbie or preemie prefolds under it. For flats, choose size Half in birdseye flats. Newborn orange edge prefolds are the most popular diaper under size Zero.  Newborn Workhorse need size One over them, not size Zero.  However, some customers do tell us that they are able to use Newborn Workhorse under it and like it that way, but I (Karen) don't recommend that.  I think that's not easy to do and it might not work for all babies, depending on the shape of the baby.  I'll still recommend the newborn, newbie or preemie prefolds under it.  Layering Cloth-eez Muslin Wipes or Paper Towel Alternative cloths can be alternative itsy-bitsy diapers that can be used as "preemie" diapers or first week diapers.  Layer in a Muslin Wipe to catch meconium.

Think of this cover as a sized, true-size cover and not as a one-size fits all adjustable cover.  Yet it DOES have a set of rise snaps!   These rise snaps allow you enough flexibility to get a good fit as baby grows, without the bulk in the front of folding down as much extra fabric in front.  The rise snaps help you size up sooner or skip a size.   You can even start with size two on a newborn if you want to.

Don't assume that all brands using the size names One and Two are the same.  Brands run differently.  Pay attention to the weight ranges and pictures.   Cloth-eez Wrap size Two is smaller than a Thirsties Duo size two and it's supposed to be that way.  They are shaped differently, too.  This is shorter in the rise and roomier and Duo is taller and trimmer. Think of this size Two as a size medium.   Size Two can be adjusted down to be made to work on a newborn baby in the same way that a one-size cover can adjust down.  It's a lot of cover for a tiny baby but it can work if it must.

Because of the rise snaps, Cloth-eez Wrap sizes overlap. For pad-folding (tri-folding):  size 1 Cloth-eez Wrap fits Newborn prefolds at lower rise setting and Small prefolds at larger rise setting. Size 2 Cloth-eez Wrap fits Small prefolds at lower rise setting and Medium prefolds at larger rise setting. Size 3 Wrap fits Medium prefolds at the smaller rise setting and Large prefolds at the larger rise setting. If fastening prefolds on baby you will get much more flexibility with prefolds sizes and Wrap sizes. XL prefolds fit best under the Cloth-eez Wrap size 3 only if the prefold is fastened. It is really too large a prefold to be pad-folded into the Cloth-eez Wrap.

Size Two can work as a "one-size" cover.   It can adjust down to fit a small baby like any "one-size" cover does.  Just pull up the bunny ears (wings) to snug up the legs on a new little one.  We offer size Two as a one-size cover option in our Minimalist Kit (aka handwashing kit).

This very economical cover is made only in white to keep costs down. White is a beautiful, classic diaper color.   The fabric is so soft and the elastic is gentle and stretchy for baby's comfort.   Down the road after lots of use and washings, this softer, 1 mil cover may wear out faster than a thicker 2 mil cover such as Thirsties, but that is the tradeoff for the softness.   Most often babies outgrow the sizes long before that happens, but side by side with Thirsties, Thirsties will win the durability contest.  1 mil and 2 mil refers to the thickness of the waterproof TPU layer.  If you want soft, this is it!

The size zero is the best for the cord healing time but gets outgrown quickly.  In the larger sizes, Cloth-eez Wraps are  are roomy enough inside and easily accommodate fitteds with doublers.   The rise is not high on these covers.

newborn cloth diaper with cord dip snap down on a newborn baby This baby is 4 weeks old and 9 pounds.   Snap the rise down to either cord dip setting as the cord stump heals.   There are many different ways to use the snaps and adjust and customize this tiny little cover to get the perfect fit on preemie or average newborn babies (who have a birth weight under about 9.5 pounds. This is tiny!)

Great Covers

I disliked PUL covers after using another brand with the older babies, but these feel so nice and they wash very well. The thinner plastic is great.

Size Zero great for Newborns

This was the best cover for use with our 8lb 8oz newborn. Our little guy is long and skinny. This cover was by far the best for his shape. It fit well over the gray prefolds. The snap down worked well while his stump was still attached. The material is soft and doesn’t leave marks on his thighs like some of the other covers did. We bought several other covers that were sized for newborns but all of them were too big initially. At one month old, this is still our go to cover.

Wonderful quality and fit!

Bought these as an economical option, and they fit wonderfully! There are soo many specific sizing options even within the sizes covers, that it is a perfect fit on my three week old. This cover has already saved us from a couple almost bow outs. I find I reach for these covers before the ones I spent twice as much on!

My absolute go-to newborn diaper

I bought all my diapers used and was lucky to have a set of 5 of these when my baby was born and the size zero were my absolute favourite go-to diapers for the first 3 months. My baby was 7 pounds when born and these fit her reliably up though 11 pounds with her shape, and since she was a little small, that lasted through 3 months. They contained poop crazy good with their double gussets and the umbilical cord drop down made these the first of my set I could really use well. As she got bigger, the thirsties x-small covers were my second-favourite, but I still really liked these the best because they fit much trimmer and my thin bamboo inserts would stay put and gave more outfit-flexibility. (A lot of outfits for small babies really don't accommodate poofy bums!) My only complaint is that they only come in white, so in those newborn months when I'm rarely bothering to put clothes on the baby, white is a little boring. End of complaints. I did have one size one, and it worked just fine, but I didn't really like the double-snap row on a really small baby, it felt much too bulky for me, so I only really liked the fit of it for a very brief time. With my preference for a very trim fit, I didn't feel like the size 2s fit my skinny-legged baby until about 16 pounds, but I'm glad to be there now because I've missed these great diapers! And now that she's 6 months old, she's in clothing a lot more and I just absolutely love how these diapers fit under clothes. So soft and trim!
