Thirsties (Original) Diaper Cover in snap closures is a true-sized diaper cover. Made in USA.

XSmall  6  to 12  pounds (Runs bigger. I suggest 8-14 pounds and it is roomy enough to go over newborn, small and sometimes even medium Workhorse depending on baby's proportions.)

Small  12 to 18 pounds

Medium  18 to 28  pounds

Large   28 to 40  pounds

Don't confuse this sized cover with the Duo Wrap. This one does NOT have snap rise adjustments and it has more room in the seat than a Duo Wrap.  This is a true sized cover which comes in sizes XS through Large. For an even tinier cover, the Newborn/Preemie size comes in Hook and Loop version only.

When Thirsties Duo size 2 is getting too small on your toddler, the size Large cover is the next size up. Large is bigger than Duo size 2 but smaller than Duo size 3.  It has room enough inside for a nighttime diaper.

The size LARGE of this Thirsties Cover is larger than the Thirsties Duo Wrap size 2.

A true-size diaper cover with snap closure. What is "true-size"? True-size or sized means that it comes in each size, XS, Small, Medium and Large. Unlike an adjustable rise cover or a one-size-fits-all cover, it doesn't have rise snaps, Not everyone likes the bumpy rise snaps on the front of adjustable covers, nor the bulk of the cover fabric in front when the rise is snapped down. This cover is sized so it is made to fit the actual size without rise adjustments. No cover bulk up front! The shape of the cover is not the same as the Thirsties Duo Wrap. It is roomier inside. Don't size up with this cover because it is generously sized. The XS cover is really nice over newborn fitted diapers. It is too big on small newborns, though.

The waist does still adjust since there are many waist snap selections to choose from. I find that not having rise snaps on the front does have an advantage for me when I hold the baby next to my body. It is more comfortable for me. I also think that true-size covers such as this are a bit less confusing for caregivers. It has gentle leg gussets and exposed laminate inside, also known as a wipe-clean interior.100% polyester with TPU laminate. FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Another quality CPSIA-compliant, made in the USA diaper cover choice from Thristies.

The size Large is a big cover. If baby has outgrown the Thirsties Duo size 2, the size Large Thirsties Diaper Cover is the next size up after the Duo size 2. It is also a good nighttime diaper cover because it is roomy enough inside for extra doublers.

snap front diaper cover Small pictured. Very adjustable waist and it has leg gussets.

medium prefold Size Medium cover with size medium red edge prefold. The prefold lays right in there at full length without folding it down easily. This is a roomy cover. Great for pinning or Snappi fastening. The size Medium fits over the size large Workhorse. Small will fit over small or medium Workhorse. XS works with newborn or small Workhorse. XL Workhorse will work under either the medium or the large cover but I prefer it under the large cover but it depends on the baby's shape. What works with what is variable depending on baby's shape and your preferences for how you like things to fit. Give pinning a try! It really works.

I am so happy that Thirsties now offers its sized diaper covers in snap closure!

I am so happy that Thirsties now offers its sized diaper covers in snap closure! I don't like the bulk of one- or two-size diapers or covers so I'm thrilled to have this option now. We use size Large overnight on my 2.5 year old (35 lbs, 37 in) when his wool is wet from the wash. They fit perfectly and we've never had a leak. We just started using XS on our newborn and they're my favorite for her (even more than the Blueberry Mini Coveralls, my old favorite), although the rise was a little too tall for her until her stump fell off. The **ONLY** complaint I have is that I don't like white leg elastic casing. We haven't had any blowouts in the sized covers yet, but we did with the Duos when my toddler was small -- I hate EBF poo stains.

I have been using this cover for about two weeks now and I have found it to run a little big for my 7lb little boy.

I have been using this cover for about two weeks now and I have found it to run a little big for my 7lb little boy. We are now about 8lbs, and they are just starting to fit a little better. However, I do like the velcro on these diapers better than any of my other covers. They also have a decent elastic, but could be better.

I have the oak and acorn cover size medium and it is my favorite cover for my chunky baby!

I have the oak and acorn cover size medium and it is my favorite cover for my chunky baby! It started fitting him around 13 lbs and still plenty of room at 18 lbs (6mo). We use the blue edge prefold with snapppi. A trim diaper with full booty coverage.

I like these covers - although I primarily buy white covers I do wish they came in as many colors as the Duo-Wraps.

I like these covers - although I primarily buy white covers I do wish they came in as many colors as the Duo-Wraps. I decided on mostly sized covers because I prefer a trimmer fit. The size small fit my baby from about 5 mos and 14lbs until very recently - at almost a year and 20lbs. She's a long, slender baby so we've gotten a lot of mileage out of those small covers. I did notice a pretty big size jump between the small and the medium, which wasn't a great fit on her until she hit about 19lbs although they do still gap a bit at her slender waist. We useprefold or fitted birdseye flats and pins so a fluffier diaper might solve this problem.

I love these covers.

I love these covers. I wish I had known that these existed with my first two kids. I always hated that the Duo covers were so big for such a long time before they finally grew into them and wished they came in more than two sizes. Baby #3 is just about to outgrow the XS and I'm here ordering the next size up. It made it SO much easier to cloth diaper her as a newborn when I wasn't dealing with the too-big Size 1 covers.
