Karen's comments: These are not the same fit as the Thirsties sized Cover. The fit of the Duo is trimmer and the size runs differently. I don't want people assuming they are the same as the others but with rise snaps when they really do run differently - this one, the Duo, is narrower and trimmer.
I think the size change might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended below (baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess). Great over unpinned prefolds. Size one fits over orange edge or yellow edge. Size two fits over red edge or brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just laid in the wrap. A no-pinning delight or use over fitted diapers such as Workhorse diapers.
100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
If your toddler outgrows the size 2 cover, check out the Thirsties Cover in size large. It has enough room inside to fit a very thirsty diaper. Thirsties Cover size large (not the Duo version) is the next size up from the Thirsties Duo Wrap size 2.
These are my favorite covers. Karen is right, they definitely fit before 18 lb. I was using them successfully on my 14 lb baby on the smallest rise and tightest waist snap. These hold in everything. The few leaks we've had were due to operator error, either choosing the wrong snap setting or we somehow got the diaper bunched all to one side.
This wrap is adorable and is everything that I need it to be. It fits. It does not leak. It has double leg gussets. It washes well. And, did I mention that it is also adorable?
I love these Thirsties covers. You can't beat the price for the quality you get in these covers. The double gussets work well to contain everything and the fit is trimmer than some other covers. I use these with GMD profiles and love them.
I really like these covers. They fit well and are reliably waterproof which is all I'm looking for. They wash well too. The only thing I don't like is they leave some red marks on my baby's legs where the elastic sits but it doesn't seem to bother him and they fade after a little while. Good product. I used wool for years and that's my favorite but my newest baby is an extremely heavy wetter and I just couldn't keep up with lanolizing the wool enough to make them waterproof so after my husband complained enough times about always having a wet shirt I decided to switch. :-)
We have used the thirsties duo size 1 over newborn muslin flats and newborn clotheez fitted for our almost 2 month old once his cord stump fell off. We are very satisfied with the quality: the snaps are secure, the double leg gussets contain everything, and they dry quickly. We ended up ordering extra covers because we change them more often than we thought we would (out of preference). The prints are adorable, and the fit is trim with both the flats and fitteds. I am planning on ordering more size 2 when he outgrows the size 1. With this setup even my husband prefers using cloth- when we were using disposables to use up the package we had, he asked me- "can we switch back to real diapers now?" We are very happy with our purchase, and would definitely go with thirsties covers again.
