Cloth-eez® 100% cotton, velour on one side and terry on the other side. One layer but two different surfaces. The velour side is very soft and has a velvety feel, while the terry side is regular terry and great because it doesn't just smear things but instead grabs what needs to be grabbed. This is not polyester velour, which is slick and slippery, it is 100% cotton velour which is a napped cotton terry. It's a small washcloth. It is a nice fabric and a nice size for use as baby wipes or as baby washcloths. Unlike other baby washcloths you'll find in superstores, ours are 100% cotton. Cotton doesn't get stinky like polyester can, and these are a little thicker and nicer than those thin 20% polyester big-box-brand kind that become scratchy. 100% cotton is hard to find these days and 100% cotton is so much nicer. Made in Pakistan. Cloth-eez® brand. 7x7 inches. Sold in packages of 12.
These wipes are very soft and absorbent. I was a little concerned with the small size at first, but they have preformed very well. I normally only have to use one of these wipe for clean up. Because they are so absorbent, they do not leave my baby's skin wet after use. These are also great for protection from my sons fountain tendencies. They can absorb a full pee from my 3 month old. I am actually back here to order more! These are much better than the cheap baby wash clothes or flannel wipes I have used. They are even better than other high end velour wipes I have used.
The majority of my cloth wipe stash. The velour does lose a little bit of it's velvety feel over time though. The thickness is perfect, it's about the same thickness as a washcloth but not those super cheap rail-thin washcloths. I also love that they are plain white.
By far the best value for your money, based on anything I've found. These wipes do a great job. I fold them in half, stack them in my wipes warmer, and pour water (previously boiled, left to cool, then mixed with a tiny bit of coconut oil) over them. Works great. They do become a little thinner and less soft with time, but other wipes have done the same. (And there will be lots of lint in your dryer the first several washes!) I slightly prefer the feel of Thirsties wipes over these, but the Thirsties are much more expensive, and the difference isn't a big deal. And I do like that these are 100% cotton, which Thirsties aren't.
The velour sides of these wipes are incredibly soft! They are also a very nice thickness and size; big enough that I usually only need one per change but small enough to not be overwhelming in your hand. The terry side really comes in handy for "scrubbing" so to speak. It's great to have two different sides for cleaning, and I love that these are all cotton. Also, they're a very bright white, which I like.
I absolutely LOVE these wipes!! This is my first time using cloth wipes and I am never looking back to disposables again! They clean so much better and softer on my daughter's skin. Thank you Green Mountain Diapers for making such an excellent product!!!
