Smart Bottoms Smart One 3.1 One-Size All-In-One Diaper has an organic cotton interior diaper and is made in USA. It is a true all-in-one (nothing to stuff or insert) with organic cotton interior. It is also called Smart Bottoms Smart One.
Coordinates with Smart Bottoms wet bags and mesh bags in lots of sizes and prints!
They have the softest "feel" of all of the all-in-one diapers. The fabrics are lovely both inside and outside. The stock pictures do NOT do them justice. They are so much prettier in person!
Inner: 100% organic cotton. Outer: 100% polyester with PUL.
Care Instructions: Prep diaper before first use by washing 6-8 times. Test the absorbency by pouring water onto the dry diaper; it should absorb instantly. If it does not, wash a couple more times and try again. The number of washes required to properly prep the diaper depends on the type of washer and detergent, as well as the hardness of the water. Wash and dry warm. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
Features: Lined with 10 layers of 100% Certified Organic Cotton.
Patent pending design allows for quick dry-time. Most machines will dry in one cycle on warm.
Wide elastic around the legs decreases chance for red marks and prevents leaks.
Attached insert can be folded to customize absorbency to where you need it most.

I love Smart Bottoms. Cute and high quality. As a mom of 8 (plus having babysat for years as a teen, and run a church childcare), I've changed thousands of diapers, and this one is definitely the very highest quality...These diapers are very well made...Very leak proof, these cloth diapers stand the test of time! The quality is excellent... It's leak-proof, absorbent, and perfect for photo shoots!
i hate all in ones that snap in or have pockets .. if i wanted that id just buy a pocket or AI2 .. the insert is sewn in and super absorbent, a true all in one! i love the natural fibers and the pul is soft its seems so much more comfortable on my baby than other diapers. ive owned so many AIOs, thirsties.. super absorbent but i like to put all my diapers in the dryer and they break down after 6 months or so and grovia... super trim ! but not absorbent enough for a toddler and i hate the snap in insert. with the smart bottom you will get wicking if you dont tuck in the trim in or leave it on too long but its no big deal. this is my new fav after almost 2 years of cloth diapering and trying everything.
I decided to try these out since I love the prints and I was curious. They are well made with high quality fabrics. I love that you can add absorbency inside the pocket (though I never have). It did take many washes for it to reach full absorbency, but now that it is fully prepped, it seems to hold as much as my other all-in-ones. These are very good diapers, however, I am not a fan of the fit. The waist and hip snaps are much farther apart than my other diapers, causing the fit in the waist to be odd on my girls. It is also one of the first AIOs to not fit my older toddler in the waist (Blueberry Simplex and BG Elementals fit longest). They still work fine on my infant. I do not hate them, but they are not my first pick. I probably won't buy them again unless I absolutely fall in love with one of their prints. Still, if you are curious, try them. You may find that you like them. After all, they are good quality diapers.
Yes, the prep is a bit daunting, BUT I adore this diaper. Somehow its able to absorb everything that my little heavy wetter throws at it. It washes and dries better than my Thirsties NAIOs, is pretty trim (never had an issue with it fitting under her clothing), and is a fast change. They're her daddy's favorite diaper, too! I typically use this for daytime awake periods, but she has napped in them with no leaks! You just need to make sure that there is no cotton showing along the legs - it tucks in very easily. I wish I could afford to have an entire stash of these!
It may just be because she's on the smaller side of the weight range, but my daughter peed through this insanely. In one pee, not only was the diaper super saturated (the cover was damp) but it was also streaming out through the leg gusset.
