Why wool? Wool is breathable. This cover is a favorite at nighttime because once prepared it virtually never leaks. The wool is totally untreated and is naturally antibacterial thus doesn't retain odors. Is wool itchy? Commercial wool can be, but this wool is untreated and wonderfully soft. Don't be afraid to try wool! This style has been loved for generations because it is so effective. The 2 layer double knit stretches for a gentle and comfortable fit over a very wide size range. A must for the family bed! Nighttime heavy wetter? This is the answer. It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Yes, really! That's because it's so breathable. Wool does need to be hand washed, and occasional lanolization is helpful. But washing is needed only very infrequently, sometimes only once a month. Wool airs out to fresh easily. View our video of how to wash wool here. Don't forget your wool care products. This wool is produced according to the organic standards. Lovely Merino wool. It was called Demeter Certified Organic, which is the highest of pure standards. Those standards are still maintained for beautiful Disana wools. Disana is a wonderful family business located in Germany, dedicated for 2 generations to organic wools and cottons, long before "organic" became a "thing". These are positively beautiful covers. It is knitted wool. We like the nice long legs this has. No leg gaps with this one! Once fully broken in, the performance is great. Once prepared, I have never, ever had a leak from one! I think this is the only cover I can can say that about, under even my kiddo's hard and deliberate testing - pushing diapers and covers to their limits. It might be too small in the legs on extremely chubby legs. It is designed to shrink some, and should be prepared by hand washing and felting somewhat (shrunk a bit) before first use. Never machine wash this cover. Do not put it in the dryer. Gently hand wash only. Be sure to add the free How-To Booklet to your cart which has instructions on how to prepare them for use. It is normal and expected for the very fine merino wool to pill with use because it is very soft wool. It's OK to size up if you are in the upper end of the weight ranges that we suggest as they do shrink. Hand wash only. Made in Germany. ADD A SINGLE USE EUCALAN WOOL WASH FOR PREPPING YOUR NEW COVER!
This picture is help show the some colors more accurately. The rose is a dusty rose color. The grey is really grey and not a brownish-grey.

I love Disana wool covers! They are great for day or night time. The size GMD recommends is accurate. I have been using these covers since day one. I switch between two at night. So far haven’t had a problem! They are soft, stretchy, absorbent, warm but not too warm, easy to use, easy to clean, super cute, breathable, and perfect for nighttime. They are a little expensive but worth the price. They do take a long time to dry and need to be lanolized here and there. Mine also seemed to get fuzzy and I thought it was falling apart but I guess that is normal for wool. Only cons I can think of so far after two months.
Soft! Effective! Cute! Seems cozy for baby! I use this over a pocket diaper stuffed for nighttime. Using this for a month, I haven't had any instances where my baby has woken soggy. Sometimes I use this cover in the day over an origami or kite-folded flat, but it's risky because poo isn't perfectly contained by my folded flats, as discussed in the info about wool covers. GMD is the BEST diapering resource!
I love these wool covers. I bought one 3-6 month for my newborn and it hasn’t leaked once. It keeps my baby warm and I have only had to wash it once when I first got it. I air dry it and switch it out with my 0-3 month. There isn’t much difference between the 3-6 and the 0-3. The 0-3 works better for a one week old but past that the 3-6 seems great. My baby was 8 pounds and I would suggest just getting the 3-6 month. It is worth the price. It is super soft and actually pretty easy to care for. I like the idea of using wool instead of pul. I like having pul just in case and for leaving the house since I only just started cloth diapering but I do think I will use wool most of the time when I get the hang of it. I managed to fit a onesie over the cover and flat under it. Very happy being able to still dress my baby in winter clothes. For reference, I use birds eye flats with the pickman fold and one or two wool liners between the diaper and cover and this wool cover for day and night. I switch between two wool covers easily and haven’t had poop get on one yet. My baby poops all the time even when passing gas so it isn’t like there is no fear of a blowout. It has been 3 weeks so far and I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend wool covers to anyone. My only complaint is the wool cover takes a very long time to dry.
Wool is amazing. It’s so soft and squishy on my squish. It’s so nice against the skin and doesn’t feel stiff like a PLU cover (they definitely have their place too but not all the time). These Disana covers give great coverage, from nipple line to toos of knees, so they keep him cozy too. I also appreciate all the education on the site about using wool and caring for it too. We already ordered another cover by the time I’ve written this review.
These are the cushiest bottoms ever! I lanolized once so far. They remained soft and dried fairly quickly in a day. The open weave won’t leak but lets these dry faster than the felted ‘baby greens’ wool snap cover, which we also have. I really like the stretch with these and thought I’d prefer snaps, but I actually prefer these pull ons- just hike them up on baby’s torso for added warmth. They are soft and stretchy and such a beautiful fine quality thread. I love the curry color for going into winter with my newborn. For reference my baby in the photo is 10 days old born at 8lbs and 21inches. We’ve been putting him in T-shirts and a diaper for easy skin to skin and diaper changes this past week, and these help us still do that but keep him warmer and drier.
