Why wool? Wool is breathable. This cover is a favorite at nighttime because once prepared it virtually never leaks. The wool is totally untreated and is naturally antibacterial thus doesn't retain odors. Is wool itchy? Commercial wool can be, but this wool is untreated and wonderfully soft. Don't be afraid to try wool! This style has been loved for generations because it is so effective. The 2 layer double knit stretches for a gentle and comfortable fit over a very wide size range. A must for the family bed! Nighttime heavy wetter? This is the answer. It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Yes, really! That's because it's so breathable. Wool does need to be hand washed, and occasional lanolization is helpful. But washing is needed only very infrequently, sometimes only once a month. Wool airs out to fresh easily. View our video of how to wash wool here. Don't forget your wool care products. This wool is produced according to the organic standards. Lovely Merino wool. It was called Demeter Certified Organic, which is the highest of pure standards. Those standards are still maintained for beautiful Disana wools. Disana is a wonderful family business located in Germany, dedicated for 2 generations to organic wools and cottons, long before "organic" became a "thing". These are positively beautiful covers. It is knitted wool. We like the nice long legs this has. No leg gaps with this one! Once fully broken in, the performance is great. Once prepared, I have never, ever had a leak from one! I think this is the only cover I can can say that about, under even my kiddo's hard and deliberate testing - pushing diapers and covers to their limits. It might be too small in the legs on extremely chubby legs. It is designed to shrink some, and should be prepared by hand washing and felting somewhat (shrunk a bit) before first use. Never machine wash this cover. Do not put it in the dryer. Gently hand wash only. Be sure to add the free How-To Booklet to your cart which has instructions on how to prepare them for use. It is normal and expected for the very fine merino wool to pill with use because it is very soft wool. It's OK to size up if you are in the upper end of the weight ranges that we suggest as they do shrink. Hand wash only. Made in Germany. ADD A SINGLE USE EUCALAN WOOL WASH FOR PREPPING YOUR NEW COVER!
New colors Lagoon and Bordeaux.
This picture is help show the some colors more accurately. The rose is a dusty rose color. The red has some orange tones in it. It is not a cherry red but is more orangy-red. The grey is really grey and not a brownish-grey. The blue is an abalone blue more like the GroVia Abalone blue. It is not royal blue.

I am always blown away by GMD's customer service. Shipped within minutes of ordering and exactly what I was expecting. I haven't used them yet but plan to prep them this week and feel confident in my ability to do so because of the thorough instructions given by GMD. Thank you.
This is our third pull-on cover. All from here. It works great for night diapers cover. And it is so adorable. I love the nice wool . I really appreciate GMD service. When I opened the bag I noticed there was a missing stitch around the legs, so that made a hole there. I contacted them, they just replaced it right away. Thank you for your hard work.
I was intimidated by the idea of using wool for cloth diaper. However I’m so glad we gave it a shot! My baby is a side sleeper and used to leak every night on the side that she lays on when we were using pocket diapers. We tried different diaper and inserts, but no luck. We then tried using Disana wool cover on top of pocket diaper. It worked!!! No more leaks!!! This system worked well during winter time, but as the weather warmed up I was afraid that it got too hot for my baby. So we switched to using prefold (medium prefold) wrapped around baby with a bamboo booster inside, jelly rolled the sides and used snappi closure. Since I used enough absorbency we had no leaks though the night ( she sleeps about 12 hours!). The wool cover feels slightly damp on the outside in the morning, but the bed sheet and her pj are always dry. Wool Care is pretty easy, and the instruction that came with the product is easy to follow. it just takes a while to dry (1-2 days) so we have two covers to rotate through. We found onesie extenders (I got mine on Etsy) to be very useful when using these covers since they are very bulky and it was hard to find pjs that fit over it. If you are looking for bulletproof nighttime solution, wool covers are perfect for that. I’m so glad I found this. Give it a try!!
I've been using this wool cover for my 2 month old baby. I washed and lanolized it twice. It sometimes feels a little cool to the touch in the night, but we don't get any leaks, even with the diaper saturated underneath. Baby seems very comfortable in it! I got a size 12-24 month for my 14lb almost 3 month baby. It has a lot of growing room but works great.
I was so hesitant to give these a try because I felt wool would be so fussy, and I just didn't know the logistics of using wool covers because they were so far outside of my comfort zone. WHY?! Why didn't I use these with my first child?! I am in love. I initially bought one of these covers because my child was heavily wetting and is a stomach sleeper. They were still nursing several times a night, and we don't change pee diapers during dream feeds, so every morning we were dealing with very wet pajamas, and sometimes sheets. I took the plunge and have never been happier. The wool comes up so high we were able to pull them up above the "wet line" and ta-dah! No more wet pajamas! I sized up for my baby (12-24 months) because they are a little on the, uh, thicker side, hehe. But also so that these would last a long time. My husband accidentally washed and dried one, so I bought another two because I thought the washed one was ruined (I wanted to have two in rotation). It turns out, we got lucky and the first one is just *extra* felted, so now we have three. I may just end up giving one away as a gift, because these are so sturdy and so easy to use, I don't think I need more than two!
