Babee Greens Wool Shorties are interlock merino wool shorts for baby. Use these as clothing over a diaper and cover for that extra insurance in case of a leak or edges wicking. Or use it over a diaper as a lightweight diaper cover/clothing combination for extreme comfort. The wool is soft and stretchy 100% merino wool made from Merino Wool knit with Oeko Tex 100 certified yarn. Wash by hand with a proper wool wash, but it doesn't need washing often since it is wool. Handwashing is recommended. Made in USA.
Also available in long legs pants.
Washing instructions: Wash by hand using a gentle wool wash such as Eucalan or a gentle bar soap such as Olive Oil Soap. Do not use Unicorn Beyond Clean on Babee Greens wools. Detailed instructions are provided on the Wool Page which is included with your order.
I bought these for my almost 2 year old son. He seems to like them and they seem comfy. Fits him well with room to grow-he’s 24 lbs. They’re light weight and I’m planning to have him in it a lot during the summer. I’ll probably buy a smaller one for my daughter.
The directions on how to wash and lanolize made it very easy. They've been working really well and are so soft and easy to get on my larger baby. Can't beat the price either. I am very happy with this purchase!
I can't comment on the longevity of these yet, but I have been so impressed by these shorts. After trying many different types of covers, I knew I liked the pull-on type best, but my beloved Disana covers are a bit much for summertime day use here, and because they are knit, are prone to holes in a way interlock is not. I've also been having a hard time finding shorts that fit my petite toddler well. I really like the way these fit. The mediums hit her just above the knee (she is about 20.5 pounds, close to 30 inches tall). The are roomy but not billowy. The material is SO soft. I have let her play outside in them and cringed at how dirty they looked. But a long soak in wool detergent and they look completely new, and they dry quickly compared to thicker soakers like the Disana. I like that they are very utilitarian and obviously geared toward the toddler's comfort. I have been surprised by how dry they feel even after a few hours. I just ordered two more pairs with the plan to use these as her regular summer shorts.
We've been using these over a fitted at night. I do think he finds them way more comfortable than a regular diaper cover and I like that his bottom can get some air. I was nervous about the care of them but it really has been easy. Just air them out until they no longer smell fresh and then its time to hand wash them. Easy. A good investment.
I can't say enough good things about these wool shorts! Our little guy has had a pair in every size and wears them several days a week. The wool is super soft, the waist is non-binding, and they're perfect over a workhorse diaper and cover as an added layer of leak protection. They look so cute on him and the fibers breathe beautifully. We wash them in wool wash once a week, or so, and they've held up really well.
