Cloth-eez® Workhorse™ diapers are made of wonderful 100% cotton prefold diaper fabric in fitted diaper shape with a built in flap style doubler. Newborn and small have 6 layers in the flap and medium and up have 8 layer flaps, which is age-appropriate layering.Did you ever wish your lovely prefolds were shaped like a fitted? There is no better diapering fabric than the cotton prefold fabric. It washes so easily and wears so well. No polyester stink, no repelling, no special detergents are needed for 100% cotton diapers. The snaps are covered by the cotton fabric inside so no snaps touch baby. The flap style doubler is sewn inside in the back only for quick drying. See pictures on a baby here. Designed by Karen and made exclusively for Green Mountain Diapers. I love cotton diapers, especially prefolds, but sometimes a fitted style is preferred. This is an economy fitted with great low price and no confusing adjustments which create additional bumps and lumpy places. It's not fancy but it does the job really well at a great price. Sized diapers fit better than "one-size-fits-all" diapers because young babies are little and older babies are bigger. Yup, that's true. We made the wings a little longer on the no-closure version to give you more fabric to use for pinning or fastening them but the rise is the same for both versions. Consider baby's shape when choosing size. Wide, round "booty" shapes will need to size-up sooner than narrow, flat-bottom shapes, who will stay in a smaller size longer. Very fast growing newborns can skip size small and go from Newborn to Medium. 100% cotton exclusive of trim. Made in Pakistan.
For the same thing in WHITE cotton, go here.
One FREE pair of pins is included with purchase of the no-closure version. That means one free pair per order, not per diaper. You re-use the same pair of pins over and over again. If you need more pins or other fasteners, see fasteners.
Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on prefolds or Workhorse diapers. Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry. Yes, Tide is ok or whatever you happen to like. This is a diaper which means it is the absorbent part. Use a diaper cover over this diaper, which is not included.
Please wash several times before first use. The white version needs a few cycles before first use. The organic unbleached version needs quite a few preparation cycles to wash off the natural cotton oils before full absorbency is reached. This "prepping" (4 or more wash cycles) is a one-time thing. Love these diapers! I use with small doublers for just hanging around the house. So nice on my toddlers bum!
These are by far our favorite fitted diapers. I started out with a few NB fitteds, among a lot of of other types of fitteds and AIOs, and these by far surpassed all others. I'm a believer. The cotton is great, so absorbent, and they've held up so well! Definitely going to continue buying these as our LO grows. Such a great diaper!
I have tried everything for my 17 month old son and this was the Holy Grail of diapers for us, let me tell you! He is BIG (size of a 3yr old) and soaks through every single thing I have tried. The XL fits him perfectly with room to grow so I'm not scared about making it to potty training. They are much trimmer than the super stuffed pockets I was using and I'm not buying pricey overnight disposables anymore that would only last 30 mins before soaking his clothes. THANKS Green Mountain Diapers for providing an affordable solution to our heavy wetters! One of these and one doubler works in the day. I use three doublers or a hemp insert for extra protection at night since he is so extreme. Next baby these will be my go to from the start. I will take a picture to add to this post of him to show the fit soon. Thanks again!
These are the best diapers I have brought! I love pockets but hate that bunching up that happens if you stuff them wrong and I end up with a pee soaked baby. I love all in ones but they take forever to dry and are too expensive in comparison to the workhorse. I love that the workhorse is all cotton. The whole thing is absorbent and that is a plus with my heavy wetter. I only put in a cloth-eez doubler under the flap when she is going out or hasn't gone pee in awhile and even then I don't need too but I love the extra absorbency. I have both the snap and the no closure and there is no difference except in the adjustable tightness in the waist and that you need a Snappi pin to secure the tabs. (Any pin would do the job.) I wish I would have invested in these diapers from the start of my cloth diapering journey but I will have these for a long time and I will come back to these in smaller sizes when I have another baby. Pro Tip: To prep, 2 hot washes with Tide powder is all you need, maybe 3 depending on your washer. Tide powder cleans them like new.
We’ve been a cloth-Eez family for four years now for now our two kids and I have always been so happy with the absorbency and softness of the cotton. The snap closure workhorse fitted diapers are easy for our daycare teachers and they look forward to them because they make doing a good thing for the environment, easy. I love the non snapped clotheez fitteds too but my husband says he’s lazy and likes the snaps! Great price for quality!
