Disana Wool Pull-On is a natural merino wool 2-layer pull-on diaper cover. An excellent natural, soft, breathable nighttime option. 100% merino wool from organic farming. Made in Germany.

Sizes (German size name, our suggestion and tag information):

50-56    (we suggest  6 - 11 lbs)   tag says 0-3 months, in natural only

62-68    (we suggest  6 - 13 lbs)   tag says 3-6 months

74-80    (we suggest 11 - 19 lbs)  tag says 6-12 months

86-92    (we suggest 17 - 28 lbs)  tag says 12-24 months

98-104  (we suggest 21 - 35 lbs)  tag says 3-4 years

The LARGEST size is on a different page:  Go to Size 110-116   Size 5-6 year

Sizing note - We don't agree with the labeled tag suggested ages, so we have listed our own suggested pound ranges in addition to what the tag says.  We feel this is more accurate in our experience, because of the normal and expected shrinkage of the wool. However, they will be big at first when they are still new. Wool changes with use. Notice the overlap of weights.  Please read instructions provided with your order and see our short instructional videos. You will need a very gentle wool wash to prepare this item for use as a diaper cover. This item has a loose knit and will possibly get pulled threads if used prior to washing.  HAND WASH AND AIR DRY ONLY.

Why wool? Wool is breathable. This cover is a favorite at nighttime because once prepared it virtually never leaks. The wool is totally untreated and is naturally antibacterial thus doesn't retain odors. Is wool itchy? Commercial wool can be, but this wool is untreated and wonderfully soft. Don't be afraid to try wool! This style has been loved for generations because it is so effective. The 2 layer double knit stretches for a gentle and comfortable fit over a very wide size range. A must for the family bed! Nighttime heavy wetter? This is the answer. It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Yes, really! That's because it's so breathable. Wool does need to be hand washed, and occasional lanolization is helpful. But washing is needed only very infrequently, sometimes only once a month. Wool airs out to fresh easily. View our video of how to wash wool here. This wool is produced according to the organic standards. Lovely Merino wool. It was called Demeter Certified Organic, which is the highest of pure standards. Those standards are still maintained for beautiful Disana wools. Disana is a wonderful family business located in Germany, dedicated for 2 generations to organic wools and cottons, long before "organic" became a "thing". These are positively beautiful covers. It is knitted wool. We like the nice long legs this has. No leg gaps with this one! Once fully broken in, the performance is great. Once prepared, I have never, ever had a leak from one! I think this is the only cover I can can say that about, under even my kiddo's hard and deliberate testing - pushing diapers and covers to their limits. It might be too small in the legs on extremely chubby legs. It is designed to shrink some, and should be prepared by hand washing and felting somewhat (shrunk a bit) before first use. Never machine wash this cover. Do not put it in the dryer. Gently hand wash only. Be sure to add the free How-To Booklet to your cart which has instructions on how to prepare them for use. It is normal and expected for the very fine merino wool to pill with use because it is very soft wool. It's OK to size up if you are in the upper end of the weight ranges that we suggest, as they do shrink. Hand wash only. Made in Germany.

I love these covers after the wet zone is felted

I love these covers, it can take some time and trial and error to figure out the right size, I had to go down 2 sizes from what I thought my 26lb toddler would need. I still use the 3 I bought but the smallest size 76/80 I think it is fits best for multiple wears. Where as the larger sizes get too stretched out after a couple wears and has to be washed not bc they're dirty but to shrink them so they don't fall off when he walks lol.

The only pants we use

My baby is 2 months old and has yet to wear another pair of pants. We own the Babee Greens wool covers as well, and these fit nice and snug, and theoretically would fit under the many outfits we were gifted when our baby was born. However, the setup just doesn’t feel as breatheable, and it’s one more layer to take off during changes. We love these pants so much, and switch back and forth all day and night between two pairs. I do have a third in the next size up, which has been great when she has a blowout. They are so easy to spot clean, but take a bit of time to dry. We pair them with a tshirt or gown over the top, and she is good to go. I love that they aren’t snug so her bum gets lots of air flow. I hope they continue to work as well when she is more mobile!

Didn’t work for us

Unfortunately he peed right through the diaper and through this diaper cover. Didn’t seem to work at all for us.

Thank you for your review. We are always happy to help, please feel free to reach out to us via the contact us page or directly at support@greenmountaindiapers.com. We don't see any diapers in the order history so we aren't sure what diaper was used underneath this cover but we'd be happy to try to help. Per the instructions on the website and on the enclosed wool information sheet, this cover needs to be prepped before it is ready to use as a diaper cover. For more information about prepping this item, see our instructional videos here: https://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/pages/lanolize Thank you for shopping with us.

Disana fan!

This is seriously the cutest thing! My 8 month old wears it every day. He’s about 20 pounds and 29-30 inches tall. He has room to grow in the 1-2 years size. It does take about a full 24 hours to dry but it’s been super easy to wash, even when he gets poo on it. I use unscented eucalan and have lanolized it once. Sometimes it does feel damp, but it doesn’t leak, and it holds zero urine odor! I’m impressed. Definitely one of my favorite cloth diaper pieces. I was scared of wool for awhile but now I hardly ever reach for even my favorite PUL covers. My little one rarely wears pants anymore at home since this is so cute itself, and very easy for him to crawl around in. Also great for the rolling away during diaper changes stage. I use a one size muslin flat underneath this and it works fine for my average wetter. Overnight I’ve used a workhorse fitted and Thirsties large hemp/cotton insert under this with no leaks. I have since ordered overalls, a sweater, and bunting from this brand. If you’ve been on the fence about trying one, go for it!

Good purchase

I sized up. Glad I did, it does not leak and baby still has tons more room to grow into it.
