Built-in doubler-flap is attached at only one end for easy cleanup and quicker drying. Nicely absorbent. Quick to put on baby. See this on a baby
Cloth-eez® Workhorse™ diapers are made of wonderful 100% cotton prefold diaper fabric in fitted diaper shape with a built in flap style doubler. Newborn and small have 6 layers in the flap and medium and up have 8 layer flaps, which is age-appropriate layering. Did you ever wish your lovely prefolds were shaped like a fitted? There is no better diapering fabric than the cotton prefold fabric. It washes so easily and wears so well. No polyester stink, no repelling, no special detergents are needed for 100% cotton diapers. The snaps are covered by the cotton fabric inside so no snaps touch baby. The flap style doubler is sewn inside in the back only for quick drying. See pictures on a baby here. Designed by Karen and made exclusively for Green Mountain Diapers. I love cotton diapers, especially prefolds, but sometimes a fitted style is preferred. This is an economy fitted with great low price and no confusing adjustments which create additional bumps and lumpy places. It's not fancy but it does the job really well at a great price. Sized diapers fit better than "one-size-fits-all" diapers because young babies are little and older babies are bigger. Yup, that's true. We made the wings a little longer on the no-closure version to give you more fabric to use for pinning or fastening them but the rise is the same for both versions. Consider baby's shape when choosing size. Wide, round "booty" shapes will need to size-up sooner than narrow, flat-bottom shapes, who will stay in a smaller size longer. Very fast growing newborns can skip size small and go from Newborn to Medium. They are made of organic cotton. 100% cotton exclusive of trim. Made in Pakistan.
Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on prefolds or Workhorse diapers. Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry. However, we strongly suggest fragrance free laundry choices. This is a diaper which means it is the absorbent part. Use a diaper cover over this diaper, which is not included.
Please wash several times before first use. The white version needs a few cycles before first use. The organic unbleached version needs quite a few preparation cycles to wash off the natural cotton oils before full absorbency is reached. This "prepping" (4 or more wash cycles) is a one-time thing. The body is made of organic cotton. 100% cotton exclusive of trim. Made in Pakistan. Standard elastic at legs and waist which may contain latex. Nickel-free polyresin snaps. Edge thread and tag are nylon or polyester.

I wish there was more flexibility with the sizing. It says for thicker babies the sizing for ... large may begin at 18ish lbs. So I started my 6 month old on the ... large at a bit before 18 lbs, and he’s grown about 14 oz and we already can only use the last 1-2 snaps depending on the actual diaper (they seem to vary a bit in how tight they are). They are tight around the hips and but okay around the legs. Wish the design included more flexibility in the stretchy hem on the waist. Really bummed I don’t think there’s any way these are going to last too long in that 21-30 lb range for [Large]. I don’t think I will be buying the next size up because it’s probably going to be the same problem too soon. There should be one more snap or longer tabs or something. It’s too bad because these dry pretty quickly compared to other fitted diapers thanks to the inner flap being stitched only on one end.
Thank you, Ida, for the review. We are sorry that the fit wasn't right for your baby. If you do decide to move up to the next size, you might consider the no closure version because you can use your own fasteners to get a more custom fit. Hold on to these because often once babies are more mobile and they've grown taller their shape changes and they can fit into these again. The no closure version is here: https://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/collections/cloth-diapers/products/workhorse-organic-no-closure
I started my cloth diapering journey with Workhorses and have not been disappointed! These diapers are made so well and wash up nicely. The fitted style really does catch messes and my husband, who was skeptical about going cloth at first, loves these and how easy they are to put on baby.
These are great cloth diapers in every way - easy to use and wash up perfectly stain-free with my small portable washing machine/line dry. Baby is two months old and I haven’t experienced any leaking/blowouts yet! And I love that the cotton is organic. I also have the birdseye wipes and those are great too!
I have experimented with several different kinds of cloth diapers, and these are my favorite!! Very absorbent (no need to worry about adjusting absorbency) and no folding! :-) Now that I have two kids I have less time to fuss with things like folding and changing the diaper insert depending on my child's stage. These allow me to continue to cloth diaper while spending less time dealing with laundry and leaks.
This fitted diaper is awesome and I wish it were my whole stash. We haven’t had a single leak. It’s easy easy easy to use. It washes well and doesn’t take 100 years to dry. It was especially great when baby was tiny and the pocket diapers I bought still had leg gaps.
