Karen's comments: These are not the same fit as the Thirsties sized Cover. The fit of the Duo is trimmer and the size runs differently. I don't want people assuming they are the same as the others but with rise snaps when they really do run differently - this one, the Duo, is narrower and trimmer.
I think the size change might come at 15 pounds not the 18 pounds recommended below (baby shapes vary of course, so weight recommendations are always a rough guess). Great over unpinned prefolds or fitteds. Size one fits over orange edge or yellow edge. Size Two fits over red edge or brown edge Cloth-eez prefold diapers, trifolded and just laid in the wrap. A no-pinning delight or use over fitted diapers such as Workhorse diapers. Also available in snap collections.
100% polyester with TPU laminate FREE of VOCs, PVC, phthalates, lead, and latex. Made in the USA.
If your toddler outgrows the size 2 cover, check out the Thirsties Cover in size Large. It has enough room inside to fit a very thirsty diaper. Thirsties Cover size large (not the Duo version) is the next size up from the Thirsties Duo Wrap size Two or the even bigger Duo Wrap Size Three instead. Thirsties Duo Wrap size Three is our largest cover.
We’ve been using the thirsties duo hook and loop system for a few weeks now with the thirsties duo natural liners and I am so impressed and happy with them. They’ve definitely stopped what would be major blowouts in disposable diapers and have held their own against some of the biggest breastfed baby poops. The one thing I’ve noticed is that, if you have a boy, you have to ensure his weenie is pointed down or else the pee may slip out of the back. But we just toss the inserts and the covers (when they get dirty) into a thirsties wet bag and then dump the contents and the wet bag into the washer.
Love these prints!
Baby is 17 lbs and petite and these are a little big on him still but we absolutely love thirsties so we still use them!
I love the thirsties hook and loop covers. My preemie baby is in the 3rd percentile and the snap covers never quite fit right even with all the different "snap hacks" out there. The hook and loop allow for the right adjustments in the right places to get a perfect leak free fit. The double leg gusset keeps all blow outs contained. Poop might get past our prefold, but never past the thirstie cover. My partner loves how much easier the hook and loop style are to use than our other snap covers. These fit well over the work horse diapers for night time. Bonus is the patterns are awesome. The mushroom design also has crystals on it! Perfect for a Portland baby with hippie roots ;)
