Sizes overlap and are approximate. Unbleached may shrink (quilt up) a little more than white or organic. Shrinkage is variable.
*Expect some variation. Washer style can affect final fully shrunk size. Front load washers or any style washer that pushes the fibers together during prepping (initial preparation washes) might shrink the cotton during prepping a bit more than a washer style that pulls on the fibers the fibers. That's ok and expected. Shrinkage is planned in to the sizes. A traditional top load machine usually pulls items down along the agitator, which is a pulling motion on the fibers. The lift-drop-curl motion of a front load machine pushes the fibers together. The motion style can affect the initial shrinkage but the amount of cotton remains the same with any style machine, thus the absorbency is the same. They don't keep shrinking after the initial prep cycles have been completed. We do not treat the cotton with silicone or such chemicals. It really is real cotton, which is great. That is what you want and need in a diaper. Prefolds fabric is a product from a grown plant, and might have some variations even from one diaper to the next. That is the nature of this lovely fabric. Our prefold fabric is the best that there is. Cloth-eez prefold fabric is known and loved as the best for over 17 years.
Cheaper by the dozen. The price of 11 individual diapers is the same as 1 dozen, which is like getting 1 free diaper when you buy in dozens.
Prices vary by size. Please visit the Detailed Information link to learn more and see pictures on babies. The pictures can help you choose your correct size. Sizes overlap and are approximate.
As with all clothing, size recommendations are suggestions and not guaranteed. If unsure of size please wash only one or two; unwashed items are returnable but washed items are not.

Cloth-eez® Prefolds actually fit. A diaper that fits works best. One-size-fits-all really doesn't "fit all". Does a diaper that fits a 2 year old really fit your newborn? Nope. The right size for the right age and weight works best! Diapers that fit and wash easily are diapers you will use. These are the "top of the pile" diapers that you will reach for first and enjoy using.
These diapers are certified to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex, as are all Cloth-eez brand cotton products. Additionally, this version of the prefold diapers is made of organic cotton. We purchase certified organic cotton which is then woven to our specifications, then cut, folded and sewn to become these beautiful diapers. Only the cotton itself is organic, not the entire process. We are proud to acheive the OEKO-TEX-100 certification of the diapers. This white version has already had the natural cotton oils removed using a peroxide based, chlorine-free whitening process without optical brigheners. Fewer preparation wash cycles are needed since we have already removed the natural cotton oils. The organic unbleached version still has the natural cotton oils and is tan in color.
Affectionately known as "GMD Prefolds". These are hard-to-find, top quality, heavyweight 100 % cotton twill diapers. These are the real thing, and so very well made. They are far superior to the store bought kind, and will stand up to repeated washings. Be realistic about the longevity of any diapering item and don't be wowed but unrealistic claims. They are durable and last very well but not forever. They wash and dry very easily and never get that "icky polyester stink". The twill weave allows pins to slide through them easily without making holes in the fabric. But you don't have to fasten them. You can just fold the diaper in thirds and place it in a wrap style cover. You will not be disappointed in these wonderful, versatile diapers. There are many brands of prefolds on the market, but we feel these are the very best fabric, 100% Indian cotton, 4-8-4 ply, with the strongest edge stitching available, and custom sized for prefold perfection. These diapers are exclusive to GMD and are not available anywhere else, and are not marketed under any other brand name but Cloth-eez®. You will find the "prefold love" with Cloth-eez® prefolds. Diapering with prefolds that fit really is easy.
Why choose which version? You like organic but either prefer the white color or not want to do all the many preparation cycles that the unbleached organic version require.
Please wash several times before first use. This is called prepping. Instructions are included in your order. Link to more washing information.
Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on prefolds or Workhorse diapers. Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry. Use whatever you happen to like that works in your water, but we do strongly suggest fragrance-free versions for use around a baby.
100% cotton, exclusive of trim. Edge thread and tag are nylon or polyester. Made in Pakistan
First of all this is a great quality product and is really absorbent. I dont fold it like a pad, I fasten it on my baby to help with blowouts. So my only complaint is that it's hard to get around my baby's waist (17 lbs at 4.5mo). I probably could have sized up but I'm not sure it would fit easily in a shell.
These prefolds are absolutely amazing I got 3 sizes newborn, novice, and x large. They are all so absorbent. The novice works perfectly in the pocket for my 7 month old and the x large lasts a full 12 hours for my 2 year old
I haven't yet used these, but have experience diapering another child. With my first, we started with disposables and then pocket diapers. I was intimidated by other cloth diapers that resembled disposables less, but having washed and tried some folds on a teddy bear, I'm optimistic that these will be easy to use. The cotton is significantly softer than any disposable, and I'm excited that this fabric will wash and smell cleaner than the synthetic materials used in my cheap pocket diapers from baby #1. (Although I checked after prepping and these do fit trifolded inside the pockets so I can use them again later!) If you're on the fence about cloth and feeling overwhelmed, just try a pack of these with a couple covers. I wish that I had sooner.
Best Diapers out there
I wish I could trade in all my older prefolds for this kind. Not only do the unbleached organic all turn basically white anyway with the line drying I do during warm weather, but these TAGS are fantastic! The tags on these are stitched on a bit differently than my older prefolds and these LAY FLAT! I know I'm probably in the minority with this, but when I sort diaper laundry, I like to lay all the prefold tags to be facing the same direction and laying flat. These come out of the dryer with the tags laying nicely without me even touching them, so this is kind of a big deal to me. PLUS... they prepped so quickly. Normally, I'd have to do like 8-10 prep cycles to get organic cotton to be properly absorbent. These absorbed water after 1 cycle. It was amazing. I did wash them 3 cycles before using anyway just to be sure any manufacturing stuff was out before they were on baby, but wow, that's a huge deal, especially if you're ordering extras/adding to your stash and not doing a whole size worth of prepping at once.
