100% cotton birdseye diapers. "One-Size" means one-size fits all and this size is also called "Small". They are the same and they go by both names. But please don't think that "small" means that it gets outgrown like size small covers do, for example. This small means that it fits birth to potty learning, or is a one-size fits all size.

We also have a special larger size called size Large. Size large shrinks to about 30x30 inches after washing and are 33x35 inches before washing. The "size large" is a specialty size and is not commonly needed and only sometimes available.

The "One-Size", also called "Small", is generously sized and is good birth to potty learning. Our "one-size" size is not very small at all!

In fact, our "one-size" is larger than some other brands size large. But our size Large is good if you happen to like doing the origami fold on an older baby but the one-size are good for most other folds on any baby of any age. I think the size large is too much diaper for a newborn and it can be unwieldy to fold. "One-size" also called "Small" is really a great size. Most will be happy with the "one-size" size from birth to potty learning.

You can add the Size Half birdseye to it when you need more absorbency or when baby is older you can double diaper. Now, birdseye is a variable fabric and they will never be perfect squares consistently with any brand due to the nature of the fabric, but these are usually reasonably square which does help make folding easier and we strive to make them as square as we possibly can. While these are not expensive at all, they truly are better than other brands for both fabric quality and squareness. I hope you love them as much as I do. They are very nice, high quality cotton birdseye weave. Easy-washing, real 100% cotton. Made in Pakistan.  Flats don't get diaper stink. You don't need to strip your diapers when you use flats becuase they really do wash up nicely and easily.

I absolutely love these flats! I purchased the large size and I love how versatile they are. I can do so many different folds! I was a little intimidated by these at first since I had only tried All-In-Ones and Prefolds, but GMD has great informational videos on the many ways to fold!

Half flat and one size birdseye

I bought preemie prefolds for a cheap postpartum cloth solution and 12 half flats. I started cloth diapering this baby (my third child) at 3 days old, and in those early days, the half flats were perfect for her, pad folded in a cover. I also used the one size in an origami fold in those early days for her. Now that she is 3 months old and needing more absorbency (and I no longer need the preemie prefolds for postpartum bleeding), I combine the preemie prefold and the half flat in a pad fold for a very absorbent insert that is just the right absorbency right now. This adds to my one size flats. I'm so happy that I was able to get multiple uses out of these products. I'm anticipating continuing to use both the half flats and preemie prefolds as doublers for the one size flats when she gets older and needs more absorbency. The flats clean, wash, and dry so easily!!! Love it. I'll admit that the folding is a lot of work for me, but I find that I'm willing to make that trade off for easy washing and clean diapers!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

These are so soft and absorbent! I bought the large and they work wonderfully on my toddler. The one size still works and is still used, but I couldn’t get the right fold for nighttime. The large gives us some extra room to do my favorite fold, origami, with still lots of room to grow! The large also gives us a lot more absorbency. The extra fabric in the large really goes a long way. The one-size Birdseye truly is birth to potty training; however, if you can fit the large into your budget, get a few for at least nighttime. It will really help! We also have the large Muslin. The large Birdseye and large Muslin are sooo unbeliveably close in absorbency, but the large Birdseye is slightly more trim. The large Birdseye is more square than the large Muslin. I love both Muslin and Birdseye, though! If you’re starting your cloth diapering journey with a bigger baby or an older baby, go ahead and get the large; the extra fabric really goes far and allows you to fold more without compromising your absorbency.

Best Flats

I have tried GMD's muslin, large muslin, and now these. The squareness and size of this flat in a large makes it the most versatile flat in my house. Works excellent origami style on my big toddler and my chunky baby. Very soft, washes and dries easy, I wish I had tried these first!

Favorite gift for new parents

When the kids were babies, flat diapers became indispensable. We used them for burping, in the crib during naps, as a sun shade in the car window, general purpose mop and rag, etc. So, they became my favorite gift to others. Because Green Mountain offers them in organic cotton, they are my first choice.
