KiCo Label Wool Changing Topper

This changing topper is made of 100% merino wool, Woolmark certified. It has elastic straps on the corners.  The top is a beautiful coat of 100% pure virgin wool (500gr/m2). The other side is 100% cotton.

Naturally water-resistant without plastics.  Soothing for baby - instead of a cold and hard changing surface, this is warm, soft, cozy and soothing for a better diaper changing experience for both of you.

Merino wool is not only soft and comfortable for your baby's sensitive skin, but it also has a natural breathable ability and doesn't feel cold or hard. Merino wool is naturally dirt-repellent, making it stay clean for longer and requiring less washing. No sweaty vinyl or polyurethane TPU laminates or foams here. 

Many babies find wool soothing.  It's not cold to the touch like vinyl and polyurethane foam pads.  Use this over your current pad.  Then put a prefold down under the diaper area just in case of messes to help keep the wool clean.  Some babies might cry less when placed on a wool pad for changing.  All of my (Karen's) babies always preferred wool so I'm a big fan of using wool on the changing surface.  I'm convinced that babies changed on a soft wool surface are calmer and happier during the change.  This has been noticeable to me during many baby diaper modeling photography sessions I've done over the 25 years in business with a variety of babies. You'll see a wool pad like this in many of the pictures around the website.  I can't prove it, but I believe it based on my photo session experiences. Babies love wool.

Don't want any synthetics on your changing area?  Use what you already own instead of buying a foam-and-vinyl or polyurethane thing.  Fold up a large towel for extra padding and use this wool pad over the towel for a squishy, water-resistant and comfy natural fabric changing station.  This pad is soft and fluffy, but you might still like one more layer under it  You can fold the towels so the sides are higher at the sides than in center to create a cozy changing spot.

Materials: 100% merino wool with 100% cotton on the other side, plus elastics at the corners.   The wool is Woolmark certified. Merino wool items with the Wool Mark certificate have been tested for quality and safety.

Care: Hand wash using a proper wool wash or some simple olive oil bar soap (not a harsh detergent).  Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry. Do not sun. Wool does not like heat of the dryer which will felt it. Some shedding is expected for new wool. Some shrinking, felting and pilling is normal for soft merino wool and it is the normal nature of wool to have variations in color. These are not defects. This is part of the natural beauty and the nature of merino wool.  Press onto towels to so the towels take up some moisture and then dry flat. Do not wring. Indirect air circulation will help speed drying.  

Wool does not need to be washed often. 

Shown placed over regular foam pad with raised sides on a Graco 32"x17" Changing Table by Storkcraft. It's just slightly big on this changing table but ok. This one is unwashed, so it may shrink slightly.

Not for sleeping. Do not leave baby unattended on a fluffy surface such as this.
