Size Half   -  made of Organically grown unbleached cotton  off-white edge stitch, for preemies or small newborns 4-8 pounds as a diaper, or to potty learning as a doubler for extra absorbency, approximate size 16 x 27.5 inches after washing.

Size One-Size   -  made of Organically grown unbleached cotton   red edge stitch 6-35+ pounds. 29x29 before washing and shrinks to approximately 28x26.75 inches.

Size Large  -  made of Organically grown unbleached cotton   off-white edge stitch 13-40 pounds. 33x35 before washing and shrinks to around 30x30 inches.

Size Large is a special custom wide-width fabric sewn to shrink to as close to a perfect square as we can get it to be. All of our square birdseye flats are made to be as square as is possible.  Our Size Large may be the biggest size birdseye flats available in the USA.

See this on a baby and find the how-to fold flats video link.

The organic version runs a little bit larger than the white version.  Note the measurements. All measurements are approximate.

100% cotton birdseye diapers. "One-Size" means one-size fits all and this size was formerly called "Small".   One-Size means that it fits birth to potty learning, or is a one-size fits all size.

We also have a special larger size called size Large. Size large shrinks to about 30x30 inches after washing and are 33x35 inches before washing.

The "One-Size", also called "Small", is generously sized and is good birth to potty learning. Our "one-size" size is not very small at all!

In fact, our "one-size" is larger than some other brands size large.   Our size Large is great if you happen to like doing the origami fold on an older baby but the one-size are good for most other folds on any baby of any age. I think the size large is too much diaper for a newborn and it can be unwieldy to fold.  Most will be happy with the "one-size" size from birth to potty learning.

Use size Half as doublers in your flats:  You can add the Size Half birdseye to another diaper when you need more absorbency but don't want the bulk of double-diapering.  They also are the perfect dishcloths.

Now, birdseye is a variable fabric and they will never be perfect squares consistently with any brand due to the nature of the fabric, but these are usually reasonably square which does help make folding easier and we strive to make them as square as we possibly can. While these are not expensive at all, they truly are better than other brands for both fabric quality and squareness. I hope you love them as much as I do. They are very nice, high quality cotton birdseye weave. Easy-washing, real 100% cotton. Made in Pakistan.  Flats don't get diaper stink. You don't need to strip your diapers when you use flats because they really do wash up nicely and easily.

So easy to wash! Great fit, but not as absorbent as muslin

These flats are so soft and fit great with an origami or pad fold in thirstie and flip covers. They are definitely not as absorbent as muslin flats. I have paired them with a hemp doubler for more protection. Happy with this purchase!

Economical and so soft!

I was having a terrible time finding a cloth diaper solution that would work for my huge 20+ lb. 5 mos. old's super chunky thighs, not only that I was running out of money to spend, so I decided to give these birdseye flats a shot. I purchased the large size at the advice of green mountain and they fit with room to spare! Woohoo! I use the origami fold with wool shorties, longies, and BabeeGreens wool covers and they work perfectly! I also really like how easy flats are to wash and dry - they dry so quick! I'll admit I was a bit intimidated to use flats, but they are so easy and I would recommend these to anyone looking for an environmentally friendly solution that is also super soft and economical. They are a win-win-win!

Very happy

I've just started cloth diapering my 3rd baby, starting at around 2 months old. I purchased one size muslin and Birdseye flats. I thought I would prefer the muslin, but right now I actually prefer the Birdseye for during the day. My guy isn't a heavy wetter, but I also like to change him fairly often, so the Birdseye are perfect for us. Never completely soaked, usually just the front half if it's been on a couple hours. I think he will wear these without a booster for quite a while! Very trim and fit well under his clothes. He's 14 or 15 pounds now and almost 3 months. (I do love the muslin too, just much more absorbency than we need for day time use right now! Not a bad thing!)

Easy to wash and use on a newborn

Folding these is not as big a deal as I was expecting. They aren't too bulky for my 9lb newborn, and I'll be able to use them for a long time. No leaks yet!

Large Flats

These are nice and soft and very absorbent. I've been using two for overnighting my twin 1.5 y/os. We'd been having trouble finding a solution that lasted 12 hours (they're good sleepers and heavy wetters) and we are having the best luck with these.
