This hard-to-find and dearly loved original style is making a comeback! So excited! "Original" has fully encased leg elastics with binding all the way around, unlike the new style which has turned edges instead of colorful trim. It's a different way to construct the edges.
A long-time overnight favorite. We have nothing else like this beauty anymore. Somehow, this cover has the best overnight-leak-free reports of any non-wool cover that we've ever had in our 24 years in business. That's not a small thing to say.
This One-Size cover runs quite large on a 12 pound baby but fits well beginning at around 4 or 5 months old or 14+ pounds at the smallest rise setting. It may fit to 40 pounds at the largest setting.
The cover is designed for tucking a diaper under the front and back flap. This is nice to help hold a trifolded diaper in place and it also keeps the PUL away from baby since the knit fabric is there on the flaps. But just because it has flaps doesn't mean you have to use them. As a matter of fact, pinning or spreading out the cotton inside does give better coverage, but if you like trifolding and using the flaps - go for it.
You can still use this over fitted diapers or fastened prefolds! In a way, having the flaps there is the best of both worlds. The part of the inside of the cover that is most likely to touch baby's skin is where the flap is, so that's nice. It's one-size fits most adjustable - like the Flip (Flip runs a bit smaller at the hips than Capri) and like the Too Smart Cover from Smart Bottoms, but the shapes of each brand are different. This is more roomy inside than Flip Cover or Too Smart and overall it is slightly larger. It's nice to have options to choose what style, shape and fit are best for you.
The roomier-inside fit is really nice for adding extra absorbency for naps and nighttime, or for anytime.
See the inside of the cover. 100% polyester. These are high quality covers and are made in USA.

We tried multiple configurations of the snaps at multiple different weights and the diaper never fit. The elastic at the leg opening does not go all the way around the leg, so we had multiple leaks and blow outs at the leg openings. The elastic around the back was too tight and doesn't extend to the front. Even when there was a large gap at the front, it cut into my daughter's back. The polyester that holds the insert in place is quite large, so when my daughter poops, it ends up mostly on the polyester cover and not on the insert. We had to wash the cover and her clothes almost every time, defeating the purpose of getting covers.
I was pleased to purchase the Blueberry Capris, they have a wider variety of designs than some other places. My diapers came faster than was promised, so don't be surprised if the mail service gives you a farther date and you get your package way sooner. GMD was good at stating the packages might come sooner. Also I had some trouble with my diaper wash routine and GMD responded well, they also gave me some additional instruction form that was really helpful. I was doing some mistakes like washing natural fibers with synthetic diaper pads, all in all washing routine doesn't have to be that difficult and keeping it basic for me was best.
Karen notes and writes an excellent description about the capri being smaller than the coveralls (which are up to 40lbs) and deserves 5 starts for awesome customer service, heed her advice. The 4 star review is based on the product and my own fault (and vanity) for not realizing how much a 5 pounds difference makes since these only go up to 35 pounds. The Capri is definitely bigger thirsties size one (I was buying the capri to replace the thirsties size one thinking the Capri was almost identical to the coveralls.) I went with the Capri over the Coveralls bc there were cuter print options (vanity). I don't have a thirsties size two to compare fairly, but I was hoping to buy another cover that would fit over a greater span. I am left thinking I could have saved a few dollars and just upgraded to a thirsties size two instead of the Capri or better yet just purchased the coveralls which are my personal favorite- they are huge on a newborn but they get the job done so I don't mind. The capri prints are cute though and they bigger than the thirsties size one so I have useable covers that were needed to make laundry easier.
I had bought Blueberry coveralls a year back and I just fell in love. The fit was perfect on my chunky baby and it kept the poop and pee in perfectly. But... I recently bought the new style in the Capris and the fit was just awkward. It really gaped big time in the front and the front part is just awkward. I can't tell you if it does it's job perfectly or not. But the fit is weird and I much prefer the older binding style. If you're not concerned about major gaping in the front, then buy this. Otherwise, go for Sweet Peas or another brand like Flip.
