Definition: The diaper is the absorbent part and the cover is the waterproof part that goes over the diaper.
This kit is for those who want to give cloth diapering a try. You might decide that buying 2, 3 or 4 of these kits might make sense. The newborn diapers will get usually get outgrown between 6 or so weeks old but the covers will still fit over size small Workhorse and size small prefolds, too. The wipes keep on going. The picture shows the items after washing.
This kit includes:
Organic Unbleached or Organic White? What is the difference? 1. The fabric color. 2. The number of initial ("prep") cycles needed. Other than that, they are the same. The white version has already had the natural cotton oils removed using a peroxide based, chlorine-free whitening process without optical brigheners. Fewer preparation wash cycles are needed since we have already removed the natural cotton oils. The organic unbleached version still has the natural cotton oils and is tan in color. Unbleached needs more initial wash cycles to wash off those natural cotton oils than white does, but that is a one-time thing.
Before buying this test kit, I had done tons of research on cloth diapers - what kinds there are, how to use them, etc - and honestly was ready to settle for some alternate brand pocket diaper just because i was convinced that other more natural diapers would have too much of a learning curve for me to be able to use them correctly. Well, once I discovered GMD and the “give it a try” kit i was elated! The workhorse diapers are SO easy to use, and I feel great knowing that my little one didn’t wearing synthetic material. I didn’t want to invest in a full set of diapers at once, so this was perfect, but now that I’ve tried it out I’m ready to jump on board and am actually thinking about trying prefolds (something that seemed intimidating before!). If you’re on the fence about cloth diapering, this give it a try kit is the perfect investment without feeling too invested.
This kit was perfect for me as a new mom wanting to try cloth. I originally considered it at the start of the pandemic, and even more so when stores kept running out of toilet paper, paper diapers, etc. I am so glad these workhorse fitted and cloth-eez wraps were the first that I tried. They were so easy. Now I love cloth and couldn’t imagine using paper.
These diapers are really great. It is easy to use, so comfortable and so soft. Its absorbent ability is so good.
These diapers are great. True to size, absorbs well, prevents leakage even when soiled. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend. Cloth diapering made easy and cleans well too no stains so far.
Perfect starter kit. Completely worth the price! Definitely should have purchased two.
