The best prefolds - made of unbleached organic cotton. Certified to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex. True quality.   Premium natural cotton does not shed microplastics. Cloth-eez® Go beyond reusable - go natural ™.

Note: This is the "inner" absorbent part of the diaper system.  It requires a cover (sold separately).

Cheaper by the dozen. The price of 11 individual diapers is the same as 1 dozen, which is like getting 1 free diaper when you buy in dozens.

Cloth-eez® Prefolds actually fit. A diaper that fits works best. One-size-fits-all really doesn't "fit all". Does a diaper that fits a 2 year old really fit your newborn? Nope. The right size for the right age and weight works best! Diapers that fit and wash easily are diapers you will use. These are the "top of the pile" diapers that you will reach for first. Well-loved.

These diapers are certified to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex, as are all Cloth-eez brand cotton products.  Additionally, this version of the prefold diapers is made of organic cotton and retains its natural cotton oils and natural tan color.  We purchase certified organic cotton which is then woven to our specifications, then cut, folded and sewn to become these beautiful diapers.  Only the cotton itself is organic, not the entire process.  We are proud to achieve the OEKO-TEX-100 certification of the diapers.

Affectionately known as "GMD Prefolds". These are hard-to-find, top quality, heavyweight 100 % cotton twill diapers.  These are the real thing, and so very well made.  They are far superior to the store bought kind, and will stand up to repeated washings. Be realistic about the longevity of any diapering item and don't be wowed by unrealistic claims. They are durable and last very well but not forever.  They wash and dry very easily and never get that "icky polyester stink". The twill weave allows pins to slide through them easily without making holes in the fabric.  But you don't have to fasten them.  You can just fold the diaper in thirds and place it in a wrap style cover.  You will not be disappointed in these wonderful, versatile diapers. There are many brands of prefolds on the market, but we feel these are the very best fabric, 100% Indian cotton, 4-8-4 ply (Preemie, Newbie, Novice and Intermediate have alternate layering so please check the size chart before purchasing), with the strongest edge stitching available, and custom sized for prefold perfection. These diapers are exclusive to GMD and are not available anywhere else, and are not marketed under any other brand name but Cloth-eez®. You will find the "prefold love" with Cloth-eez® prefolds. Diapering with prefolds that fit really is easy.

free cloth diaper pins One FREE pair of pins per order is available with purchase of this item when you add the pins to your cart through this free pins link.   Yet prefolds can be used without fasteners!   Just fold in thirds and place in a cover or stuff into a pocket diaper.   There are many ways to use them.  Versatile and handy even after the diapering years as rags and more for excellent long-term value.   You can't go wrong by owning prefolds. You will love them.

Please wash several times before first use. Expect to wash them through quite a few preparation cycles to wash off the natural cotton oils before full absorbency is reached. This "prepping" (4 or more wash cycles) is a one-time thing. Link to more washing information.

Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on prefolds or Workhorse diapers.  Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry. Use whatever you happen to like that works in your water, but we do strongly suggest fragrance-free versions for use around a baby.

100% cotton, exclusive of trim. Edge thread and tag are nylon or polyester.  Made responsibly in Pakistan.

I have purchased and used both the organic cotton and the bamboo/organic cotton.

I have purchased and used both the organic cotton and the bamboo/organic cotton. I like them both but have come to prefer the organic cotton over the bamboo. The pro of the bamboo is that it has a very nice sateen feel, however, this may be one of the reasons I don't prefer this diaper over the organic cotton. It does feel nice to the touch but when folding to put on baby with a snappy the fabric likes to slide and not stay in place as easily when folded. This is not the case with the organic prefold. The organic prefold is also soft without the sateen like texture and stays in place making it much easier to wrap and secure especially on a wiggly baby. The bamboo also takes extra drying time. I can dry the organic in one drying cycle and they are completely dry where the bamboo are still damp in the middle area. My daughter is now in the red organic prefold (she is a little chubby and the yellow could no longer fit around her waist at 18 lbs/8mo) during the day with a snappy and small Thirsties cover, no leaks. At night we "double stuff" with a orange newborn prefold inside the red prefold and a snappy with the medium Thirsties cover, no leaks, and she is a heavy wetter who still likes to nurse at night. I have tried cloth diapering in the past and have not been nearly as satisfied as I have been with this combination of organic prefolds and Thirsties covers. I only regret not trying them sooner!

These made newborn diapering a dream come true!!!!! This is my second baby, and my first time cloth diapering, for my newborn diapering stage I got 24 orange edge prefolds, 4 covers, one 3 pack of snappis, a cheap diaper pail and two pail liners.

These made newborn diapering a dream come true!!!!! This is my second baby, and my first time cloth diapering, for my newborn diapering stage I got 24 orange edge prefolds, 4 covers, one 3 pack of snappis, a cheap diaper pail and two pail liners...There was nothing else I needed!!!!!! I loved my newborn prefolds so much!! My baby is 5 months old now and I still use them as nighttime doublers in his pocket diapers. I tried out all the different folds and even diaper pinning! Loved experimenting with these, and it was great bonding time with my son...all in all perfect diapers!!! Now that we're in pocket diapers, I find myself looking at prefolds going, "I miss you!!"

I ordered the newborn orange edge size and medium red edge size prefolds last week.

I ordered the newborn orange edge size and medium red edge size prefolds last week. I got them in and just finished prepping them and already I'm not to happy with them. The newborn size seems fine but the medium ones peeled a lot, not only that but the stitching in the middle was coming undone. I'm really questioning the quality of these prefolds. Baby is coming soon and I'm not sure I want to use these, at lease not the medium ones. Response from Green Mountain Diapers: We are happy to replace defective products. Just use the Contact Us link at the lower left of the navigation bar and we do send replacements promptly. I'm sorry about the sewing problem.

Love these prefolds_they are such good quality and wash up so easily.

Love these prefolds_they are such good quality and wash up so easily. Once I figured out the best way to get them snappied on my son they have done great at holding in breastfed poo which is a big plus. I used newborn size for him and now we are using small. But I recently bought some medium and large just to have on hand for down the road since I know I'll use them.

I never thought I'd be a prefold person, but when we got home from the hospital with my 5-lb daughter, none of of the newborn fitted and AIO diapers I'd purchased fit her.

I never thought I'd be a prefold person, but when we got home from the hospital with my 5-lb daughter, none of of the newborn fitted and AIO diapers I'd purchased fit her. And premie-size disposable diapers are ridiculously expensive. So I bought a dozen newborn size Cloth-eez prefold, a snappi and a couple NB-size Bummis Super Brites. For weeks, this was the only setup that never ever leaked on us. Later, I bought a dozen size-small prefolds, then a dozen in size medium -- this time the organic version (which I find softer and stretchier in both the prefold and workhorse versions). Five months later, I've returned to work and I thought I might have to stop using my beloved prefolds. Nope. Now I tri-fold those size-small prefolds and use them stuff the BG 4.0 pockets I leave for grandma to use. Haven't had a leak yet, and they save me the hassle of dealing with microfiber inserts. And I still get to use my medium-size prefolds and covers on days I'm not working. The only real con of using prefolds is that my own mom is always telling me how bulky they look on my daughter under her Flip covers, but who cares, this is what works for us -- even if it is kind of an old-fashioned solution.
