Lubricating pins by pushing the point into a bar of Ivory soap or other bar soap before using helps any pin slide, so do lubricate your pins! Tip: keep the paper on the soap bar or wrap it in thin woven fabric to keep the soap from drying out.
We are no longer able to offer pins for free. They are very hard to get these days, but still they are not very expensive. We encourage you to try pinning. Fastening prefolds keeps things all together.

As with any item you use on your baby, please inspect your pins upon arrival and inspect them before each use, just like you do for snaps on diaper covers and snaps on clothing and such. Never let pins go through the wash.
