Eucalan Wool Wash the most popular and inexpensive way to wash wool covers. It is also called Eucalan Delicate Wash.

Please review the ingredient list below. It does contain a preservative. It restores some lanolin with each washing. Olive oil bar soap works and it is a good alternative. If you are machine washing a merino wool blanket, you a liquid lanolin-enriched wool wash like this is easier.  In my 20+ years of washing wools, Eucalan is the best overall of the many brands I, Karen, have tried, for this type of wool wash.  (One tea tree scented wash ruined a wool blanket for me because the smell of the tea tree never goes away and it made it scratchy too.)

Euculan is easy to use to hand washing your wool covers since it already has some lanolin in it. Some customers say they never relanolize when they use Eucalan, but it is possible that extra lanolin could be needed, but it depends on the wool and personal preference. This is far superior to grocery store wool washes, which strip the lanolin off the covers and cause them to leak. Please don't use those on your lovely wools. Use a proper wool wash such as Eucalan. Which scent to choose? That is personal preference mostly, except that the Eucalyptus is a natural moth and flea inhibitor, so if you have moths, get Eucalyptus but really get rid of the moths. (Dr. Killigans moth traps seem good for that.)  The scented versions are scented with essential oils, not synthetic fragrance. The scents are very mild but still GMD recommends fragrance-free for everything.  Learn how to wash wool. Even more detailed and complete information is in the free GMD How To Booklet which you can request when you order. Even though it says no-rinse on the bottle, I still recommend rinsing it out.  The lanolin will keep on the wool just fine when you gently rinse it out.

Eucalan No-Rinse Delicate Wash is non-toxic, biodegradable, free of optical brighteners, phosphates, synthetic fragrance and dye. Eucalan is pH neutral and is packaged in an easy to recycle, dye free HDPE plastic bottle.  Scented varieties of Eucalan use only quality essential oils. The lanolin acts as a natural conditioner, keeping fibres supple and reducing static. Eucalan meets strict European regulations, it is "quickly" biodegradable. Made in Canada.
