Rust-resistant stainless steel with a traditional diaper pin locking head. Basic starter pins to give pinning a try. Always use a cover over pins and other diaper fasteners. These are simple yet effective diaper pins made in China. Never let pins go through the wash.
Lubricating pins by pushing the point into a bar of gentle bar soap before using helps any pin slide, so do lubricate your pins! Keeping the bar of soap in its paper wrapper will keep things neat.
Was using a snappi. Finally got the guts to try these. So much better. No more bunching. Diapers lie flat. Much better fit.
I use these pins specifically with my luxury stretchy flats (that wont hold a snappi) because they are slim and sharp and I don't worry about them damaging the fabric. So, for that I love them and I even occasionally use them with the muslin flats as well if I don't have a snappi available. However, I feel like they are a bit insubstantial for something thicker like a prefold
I bought 2 pairs of these to keep in my diaper bag. I like them but they seem a little short compared to some of the others I have. They work great though and you can't beat the price.
I got my first pair of pins free with my first GMD order, and I've yet to find a pin that I like more. I just bought several more sets in different colors. They're sharp and go through cloth easily, and they stay sharp with repeated use. The locking mechanism feels very secure and is easy to use one-handed. They work so well!
I have several pairs of the plastic head pins and I LOVED them at first. They are thin and sharp and slide easily through the diaper. However, after only one month of use, 4 pins had cracks in the plastic and were able to pop open with a soft nudge. It made me nervous about my baby wearing them so I switched to the Slide Locks.
