Cloth-eez Prefold Diapers - Unbleached - SECONDS SALE

Size Guide

SECONDS means not first quality but second quality. It does NOT mean second-hand.  All diapers are new but have some sort of a flaw or something minor wrong with them that makes them not first quality.

Cloth-eez Oeko-Tex certified unbleached cotton prefolds diapers.

In dozens only.

Seconds are new, unused, not returns, not washed. Seconds means second quality, or "b" grade or "irregular"

Seconds does NOT mean second hand

What makes them seconds? For the most part, I really can't tell. There are many things than can be slightly wrong that can make a diaper not meet "first quality" standards. Most often the cut is a bit small or short. It is possible that an edge isn't quite straight. Sometimes a layer is not quite flat. It will matter less after shrinkage. Every diaper will have something that makes it imperfect in some way. It might be this kind of error or it could be some dirt or hanging threads or whatever.

Usually cutting errors make the diaper smaller, not larger. They truly are seconds, and are sold "as-is". Seconds can be nice to have on hand to give some depth to your stash without having to spend much on diapers that really are your back-up diapers. If you wash 20 diapers at a time, you really need to have 3 dozen diapers on hand. So if you have 2 dozen first quality diapers for your main stash, your "spare" dozen can be seconds and it's ok if they are imperfect ones. Or, have a dozen seconds that you keep in various places, such as in the car, a sitter's house, or the grandparent's house, so you are never caught without a diaper on hand.

Affectionately known as "GMD Prefolds". These are hard-to-find, top quality, heavyweight 100 % cotton twill diapers.  These are the real thing, and so very well made.  They are far superior to the store bought kind, and will stand up to repeated washings, but of course no diaper lasts forever so don't believe unrealistic claims.  Using prefolds is a very economical way to diaper!  It works very well. Plus, they wash and dry very easily and never get that "icky polyester stink". Use a  Snappi Fastener, Boingo or pins to fasten it for a very secure fit. Or, just fold the diaper in thirds and place it in a wrap style cover.  You will find the "prefold love".  We feel these are the very best fabric, 100% Indian cotton, 4-8-4 ply, with the strongest edge stitching available, and custom sized for prefold perfection, exclusive to GMD. They are not available anywhere else, and are not marketed under any other brand name but Cloth-eez®. 100% cotton exclusive of trim. Made in Pakistan. They are certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO TEX® and of course meet CPSIA standards, too.

One FREE pair of pins per order is available with purchase of this item when you add the pins to your cart through this Link.

This version is unbleached cotton.  Unbleached cotton is usually the softest and fluffiest of the three versions (white, unbleached or organic).  But it can be hard to tell them apart and the difference is slight in the first place.  Please wash several times before first use to wash off the natural cotton oils before full absorbency is reached. This "prepping" (4 or more wash cycles) is a one-time thing. Link to more washing information.

Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on prefolds or Workhorse diapers.  Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry, however we recommend unscented choices for all laundry products for baby.

Awesome prefolds!

I could see some stitching imperfections that do not affect functionality. I’m so happy I was able to get these seconds prefolds and will probably purchase again.

Great product

I'm always amazed at how absorbent these diapers are. And I usually find out when I try to use a different brand.

Quality looks great

Haven't had a chance to try them yet, baby isn't due until April, but the shipping was remarkably fast! And the quality looks great.

Great buy!

These prefolds are great and I’m so happy to have gotten them at the seconds sale! I can’t even tell there’s anything off about them. Super soft and absorbent.

Just as good!

My larges were wearing out pretty severely so I jumped on the seconds sale and scored a dozen size large prefolds. Pre washing, I couldn't find anything wrong with them. They were slightly different lengths and two of them had a line of cream stitchng instead of brown, but that's it! They washed up nicely and are all bigger than my worn out larges. A great way to build a stash!
