Why choose a wool pad for your baby?  Babies love wool!   They soothe to it.  Some say a wool is like magic for calming a baby.  And it works the same way for adults, too!

Pictured as a blanket but most often used as a topper (mattress pad).  If you use it as a blanket, remember that blankets need to be sized larger than the bed size, so the size queen would fit on a twin bed as a blanket so that it overhangs the edge of the bed nicely.

Not for use in a crib.  It is fluffy and has "loft". As with other blankets, it's not for crib use and not for young babies or sleeping babies.  It's for supervised playtime or on an bed as blanket or as a pad under a sheet or without a sheet if you like it that way.

Wool is often used as a diaper cover fabric because of the absorbent nature of wool and the resistant nature of it because of the natural lanolin on it so if you have proper absorbency on or under baby, over this, it will both resist and absorb moisture helping to keep the bed underneath it protected.

For grown up beds, it fixes the problem of hot-sleeping on various foam types of mattresses.  Wool breathes and is naturally temperature-regulating.

It's the goldilocks of mattress toppers.  It's not hot and not cold. It's just right.

Natural fiber wool is really snuggly and lovely.  Synthetics just do not compare.

Care: Hand wash using a proper wool wash (not a harsh detergent). We recommend Eucalan but there are several good brands of wool wash out there. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry. Do not sun. Wool does not like heat of the dryer which will felt it.  Some shedding is expected for new wool. Some shrinking, felting and pilling is normal for soft, fine merino wool and it is the normal nature of wool to have variations in color and pilling. These are not defects. This is part of the natural beauty and the nature of merino wool. Wet wool does smell like a sheep because it is real merino wool.

Wool does not need to be washed often.
