Boiled organic wool booties for babies. Their hook and loop fasteners make these Disana boiled wool booties easy as pie to put on and adjust to suit baby’s feet. The long shank with sewn-in elastic stops the booties from being knocked off. They do have non-slip soles but they are really designed for pre-walkers. They stay on. You know from your own experience that when your feet hurt, you feel grumpy and uncomfortable. I think baby experiences the same grumpy-uncomfortable thing in cheap, stiff, vinyl, plastic or polyester booties or shoes and even in overly tight socks. Feet are very important for overall bodily comfort! Boiled wool is pliable and comfortable and healthy. Use with or without socks under them depending on the weather.
You won't lose them because you'll use them all the time so one pair is all you need for early baby footwear. You can also use them over footie pjs for some extra warmth for little feet.
We took our own pictures so you can see the true colors better than you can in the stock pictures. Made in Germany.
The tabs cross over to fasten.
Note from Karen: This applies not just for baby booties but for most baby things (but not diapers - you really do need a big enough pile of them so you don't run out!): I would rather have one good thing that I enjoy and use often than a whole bunch of things that are not really so wonderful, cause clutter and are hard to keep track of anyhow. With first born babies, we often accumulate too much "stuff" and far too many gadgets. By the third baby, you have and need less "stuff" but the things you have are better things. Having a few quality things, in my opinion, is so much better than a pile of junk. Clutter can be stressful. Keep things simple. Stay in budget. Do not buy what you cannot afford to buy. Wool baby booties are wonderful but they are not a must-have item. Set your budget and stay within it. Warmly, Karen.
Very nice, warm booties that match our Disana snowsuit! We used them a lot during this winter, my daughter's first. There are a couple things I think you may want to know, though. First, they still fell off sometimes, but it wasn't too unmanageable. Second, the tabs are quite long and quickly began to curl up, which is not as cute as the stock photos. My daughter is quite petite, though, and the velcro needed to be as tight as possible to fit around her ankle.
Our baby was born in February, so I invested in a few wool things to make sure she stayed warm. We have had a lot of snowy and subzero temperatures this year. The booties don't truly fit her feet, but because they are too big, they can easily be secured over her onesie and the Disana overalls. They don't come off like socks and they don't compress either. Her feet stay warm, and her skin looks great.
These are so cute, so warm, and won't fall off! We love them!
I was looking for something that would keep my little guys feet warm in our Michigan winters. So far I have been very happy with these. They stay on and his feet are warm but not sweaty like synthetic booties
These are the best booties. They stay on the little ones that like to pull their socks off. It would help if the Velcro were longer so I can make them snugger.
