GroVia Perfect Pail

GroVia Perfect Pail is a hanging diaper pail.

Zippered "bathtub" bottom - leave it unzipped for washing. No puddles of water or bubbles of air will get stuck in the bottom like the solid-bottomed kind can get in them because when it is unzipped, water washes right through it. Can hang anywhere. Great for home and travel.

Unique pop-up design provides a sleek look that integrates perfectly into any nursery.

Machine washable on warm, dry low or hang to dry (same instructions as the other pail liner brands). Because this has a washable, flexible plastic part in it similar to the plastic part in an underwire bra, be aware of how your machine works. In some machines it might need to be washed gently.

Self-closing top allows diaper to be dropped in, but keeps smells at bay by allowing some air circulation.   Made in China.

Shaped like an old fashioned diaper stacker, or perhaps like a dry cleaning clothes bag, this storage for dirty diapers is very functional. Use a hanger (not included) to hang it anywhere without taking up valuable floor space. Since it will get a bit heavy when it is full with laundry, Karen recommends a good, strong hanger such as a wooden one like the one in the picture. A flimsy hanger might bend but if you use two hangers together that works fine. Some plastic hangers have a neck that is too long so the loop strings end up not quite the right length. That doesn't really matter, but a strong wooden hanger is really better, I think.  I like this setup for a lot of reasons. I especially like that I can put the diaper in with one hand and that the design allows for enough air in there and enough air circulation to help keep bacteria and stink away, but it's not so open that the stink comes out too much. It's really a good balance between odor containment and air circulation. Air circulation IS really needed. A tightly closed pail is really nasty. All diaper pails need some air. I really love the zippered bottom, too, for emptying it. Remember to zip it back up when you set it up again after washing it. I've forgotten to re-zip a few times (did I not learn the first time I did this?), and guess what happens when you toss something into it when it's not zippered... Sometimes, you just have to laugh when things happen. Now that you know to zip it up, I'm sure you'll remember to zip it up, which is very easy to do. Holds three days worth of diapers (but please wash diapers every other day).

This is not just for diapers! I have one in the closet near my kitchen. We put our wet, damp and soiled Paper Towel Alternative cloths, our washable tissues and other kitchen towels (actually Birdseye flat diapers Size Half) in there. Now we have cleaner, fresher kitchen cloths because we have a good, organized place to put the soiled ones, without them getting dank. The older kids are able to put their washcloths, spill-catchers and other things right into our "kitchen laundry bag". Having this near our kitchen has enabled us to use a lot more cloth in the kitchen and far fewer paper towels. It's interesting how having a good place to put the soiled cloths has made such a big difference in our kitchen. It's also a handy place to put all those dirty socks that end up everywhere. I love this thing for my kitchen!

Best take away the stink bag

This product does what it says it will do. It lessens the odors from stinky diapers. It's perfect for hanging on a regular hanger. Just add a hook anywhere you need a diaper pail. And sing, cause it gets the job perfectly done. No other wet/hanging diaper bag comes in comparison. It out fits them all.

Still does the job

FTM with no other experience with pail liners/bags. Really liked the look and idea of these, read the reviews, was iffy on getting them, but decided to give them a try. Purchased 2 to keep in rotation. I really loved them at first, and still like them, but was disappointed when the fabric ripped and the boning that holds the top of the bag up came out of both bags within a month and a half or so. I do diaper laundry every other day, so they were frequently washed, but I expected a little more out of them. I tried re-threading the boning several times, but it would get stuck and I couldn’t get it back through all the way. I finally gave up. Four months later I still use them bc overall they work, they just look sad now comparatively. I do like that the zipper on the bottom makes loading the washer easy and they do keep the smell at bay. I can also wash them with the diapers on heavy now too instead of having to do a separate gentle cycle with them, so silver lining, I guess? Lol

Not what I thought

I was confused what "bathtub bottom" meant. I guess I thought it meant there was a mesh liner at the bottom where water from recently rinsed diapers could drip through so the diapers aren't sitting in water, creating a "bathtub" of water at the bottom (lol I guess I was just wishing thats what it was, someone should make that). This just has a zippered bottom, which is fine, but not what I wanted. Others have mentioned that it doesn't get much air inside, and I agree. Plus with the boning inside you can't just toss the bag into the washer on heavy duty with the diapers like I do with my other pail liners. Its made well enough but I dont think its better than just using a bucket and pail liner, its more difficult to wash and I think its more likely to make diapers stinky and moldy if you dont wash fast enough. I wouldnt recommend.

Just bought my second perfect pail

I bought one of these when my first son was just starting out with cloth at 1 month old. I had it in rotation with one other diaper bag for almost two full years with him and then the first full year of my second son's diapering (washing twice with the diapers every other week). Toward the end of its life, the plastic on one side had come out, the seam was ripping, and the zipper was getting wonky. But that is completely understandable given how much use it got! An excellent product that does a nice job containing the smell while still allowing the wet diapers to breathe (I have to use an odor/moisture absorber in the warm humid months). It was absolutely worth the expense to buy a second!
