While this is intended to be a pocket diaper, the mom who gave us this picture is using it on her 1 year old as a cover over a size large Workhorse. If used as a pocket, you would probably choose to set the rise snaps down one setting and it would be trimmer that way. But over the fitted Workhorse in this picture, it works at full rise and is nice and roomy and comfortable. Used as a diaper cover, it has the soft fleece inside so no waterproofing touches baby's skin inside, which is nice. Of course, it's not a "wipe clean" cover that way so you might need a fresh cover a bit more often. As a cover or a pocket, it's lower priced than anything else in it's class. Plus, you can enjoy that is is responsibly made in the USA.

I like this pocket best overall for three reasons. The first is the simple design. Their are no extra flaps at the back to mess with. The pocket is nice and wide for stuffing. There is not a front strip of PUL and we have not had any leaks bc of it. The micro suede interior is nice and soft. The second reason is the roomier fit. I used to think trim was best until I realized trimmer fitting diapers may not make it all the way through potty training. It was too much of a stretch and looked uncomfortable. I tried these on my 3 year old just to see and they did still fit on the last snaps. The last reason is the price. I really don’t want to pay $20 for a diaper when you need a couple dozen of them. These are half that and great quality! They would be perfect if they had the stretchy tabs like the BG 5.0. My favorite thing to stuff with are flats. Prefolds work well too they are just fluffy. I would go with Red edge for these. Brown edge does fit front to back when fully prepped inside with rise fully open.
I love the fit and structure of these pockets. There is a little more room in the pocket than other like the Alva baby so you can stuff more layers in there. My only complaint is the quality of the plastic snaps. A few of my snaps have cracked and it can be very difficult to get them to snap together. You cannot complain about the price though!
Thank you for your review of the Elemental Joy Pocket Diaper. We are sorry to hear about the snap issues, however. Cottonbabies is the manufacturer of this diaper and has a good one year warranty. Never use a product on baby with cracked or broken snaps as they are a choking hazard. Please contact Cottonbabies regarding the warranty on snaps by requesting an RMA here: https://www.cottonbabies.com/apps/cb/returns If you need assistance from us please contact us at email@example.com Thank you for shopping with us!
They are so soft and fit my 4 month old so well. We use these for daycare and just stuff them with prefolds that we already own. Perfect solution!
Excellent service each and every time I have ordered!
I have long been a fan of BumGenius pocket diapers, so I decided to give this pocket a try. It fits similarly to other diapers made my Cotton Babies. I also appreciate that I can just get the diaper, and not inserts, because I replace all the microfiber inserts that usually come with pocket diapers with cotton or hemp inserts anyway. I have had no problems with leaks at the belly, even though there is microfleece up to the edge of the diaper, as opposed to a folded over section of PUL. I am quite pleased with this pocket, and am glad that there is an option to get an inexpensive, well-made pocket that comes with no inserts. Also, the car prints are fun! This is my new favorite pocket diaper (and I have tried a lot of them through 4 kids).
