Our Sherpa Diapers are 100% cotton.  Usually when you find sherpa fabric it is a polyester blend but ours is all cotton.   It is two layers of a thick stretchy sherpa knit.  We don't make them in size newborn because it is too thick for a newborn baby. Since it is more dense than prefold fabric it can be hard to get pins through it. If you pin them, keep your pins sharp and lubricate them by poking them into a bar of soap to help them slide through the fabric more easily. These may be best for trifolding or as a night layer under a quick-absorbing Cloth-eez doubler made of prefold fabric.  Because it is dense it acts a lot like hemp acts. It doesn't absorb as quickly as the more open, looser weave of twill prefold fabric, birdseye or muslin, but it is a thirsty fabric.  It is squishy and stretchy but not as bendy as prefold fabric.  Try the large as a newborn changing pad.  It is fun to try something different for a change.  Write a review and let people know what you think of it and how you use it.

Please wash several times before first use. Please note that you can use any mainstream laundry detergent on cotton diapers. You do not need to purchase "special for cloth diapers" detergents. We do not sell them and they are not needed on Cloth-eez diapers.  Keep it simple. Use what you would normally use on your regular household laundry.

Note: The pictures were taken AFTER washing so that you see how they actually look in real life.  Buy in packs of 6 for best value. We also offer then individually in case you want to just try one first to see if you like it.

Great Diaper

I use the cloth eez cotton prefolds and love them. I decided to try the Sherpa diapers when they were on sale and bought a 6 pack. I really like them! They are a very absorbent material. I’ve wrapped them around baby and I’ve padfolded them and used to stuff a pocket diaper and as an insert in our overnight set up. These diapers work great each way.

Nothing special

This is a fine product but I don’t find it better than using traditional GMD prefolds. They are still quite bulky and I can imagine the stitching being difficult to clean. I don’t notice them absorbing significantly more than my other prefolds. I like the Sherpa cotton as doublers but still prefer the traditional cotton for the actual diaper. I now have two different sizes in my stash so I will continue to keep trying them once in a while. I will update my post if my feelings about them change

Absorbent and Stretchy!

Good over night time diapers! Trimmer than a regular prefold, good quality, wash well. Kinda bulky thus the reason good for over nights. I like the stretch this 1 has good to wrap around child's waist. We got the medium size. It was too long to pad fold for my child who is 14 months old and about 21 1/2 lbs so I wrapped it around her. SUPER EASY TO SNAPPY! I read lots that couldn't get the snappy to stay first try I got it so happy with that. Fit well with all my covers depending the cover I change the rise to either the middle or biggest rise.

The master pee holders

These are the cornerstone of our overnight diapers. I trifold them and tuck them into the cover and snappi on a flat and booster. They hold so much pee! The three sizes match up with size one, two, and three Cloth-eez covers or Thirsties Duo wraps. They saved us from night time diaper changes and for that I'll always love them.

I love this diaper! (Medium Sherpa prefold)

I love this diaper! I have 2 kids a 22month 24lbs boy and a 5month 15lbs girl and this works for both It’s a little bigger than the medium/red edge normal prefold which makes it pefect for night time. I use it newspaper pad folded (fold down the front and then fold into thirds) and stuff into a bumgenius or thirsties pocket diaper for my son at night. He is potty trained during the day and only occasionally wets when he wakes up in the morning so I can’t speak to using it as a regular nighttime diaper but since when he wets in the morning it is buckets and we don’t have leaks I’d say it is amazing. Super absorbent. For my daughter I do a modified angel wing fold (fold down the back a bit to get the right rise and then roll the sides in after it’s on) I love how soft and absorbent it is for her although very hard to close (minus 1 star). I have not been able to successfully pin it on her even using soap to wax the pins but this would probably not be the issue if I had gotten a size small as there would be less layers to pin through (also I usually use snappis so it might be that a more practiced pinned would not have this issue). It is difficult to get the snappi to stay in place but not impossible. I definitely like these. They wash and dry easily.
