The binding is very soft, non-marking lycra. No red marks with these! Pull-ons are very comfortable for baby. There is nothing tight or pinching on baby anywhere. It fits over everything, prefolds or fitted diapers, but note that prefold diapers must be fastened under pull-on style covers. They are so thin and lightweight they "smash down" nicely under clothing, thus are even thinner than many other options. Back when everyone used cloth diapers, this is the kind of thing everyone used. It's easier than you might think to use a pull-on. In some ways it's easier than fastening a cover, because you can't do it wrong. There is the drawback of pulling it down if there is a poop in there, but if the diaper underneath is doing it's job well, it's not bad. So like every diapering choice, there are trade-offs. I think pull-on style covers allow maximum comfort and freedom of movement for baby. Sometimes people who are reluctant to try wool for nighttime (in spite of my, umm, strong encouragement to try wool for night) find this a great answer for night. Or you can use this for double-covering by putting it over your non-wool nighttime system for an extra layer of protection. XL is great over training pants at potty learning time. A very low price so it can be nice to have one on hand as a spare cover just in case, or to keep in the car or diaper bag as a back-up cover. Try it with Workhorse diapers for a comfortable and economical diapering system. Made in Canada.
I love these so much more than the typical wrap style cover. They seem to be so much more comfortable for my daughter, and I have fewer leaks with these as well. I love the soft elastic on the edges and the bright colors too.
We have used Bummis pull on diaper covers for a while now, with my grandchildren, interspersed with the flip covers, both over some homemade fitted 100% cotton diapers. (that I actually made from Cloth-eze prefold diapers) I bought 2 more Bummis in the large size, because my grandson is beginning to show signs of wanting to use the potty. I figure we can easily transition to using Bummis pull on covers over cotton training pants. They are great. So soft, barely take up any space, yet are completely waterproof.
I bought these for our baby to have on backup in the case that all of our wool covers are soiled. I also keep one in our diaper bag for when we go out and about so that if our wool cover gets poop on it I have a cover to use. Since we don’t use them that often I didn’t care about the pull on feature. These are surprisingly easy to use, even used them with a newborn and they weren’t as bad as I thought they’d be. I could see myself using these as an every day if we didn’t use wool. We also use them if we feel our baby will be participating in some extra messy activities outside with the older kiddos just so our wool doesn’t get torn up or need to be washed early. These things are easy on the wallet and come in real handy!
I love the texture and the sizing. I love the thoughtfulness of having the tags on the outside. A bit pricy, but no other brand I've found compares to this quality. Wish there were more colors.
I love using these on our newborn. I used them over snapped workhorse diapers and they were perfect. The fit is great and I never had to worry about leaks when using the combo. Great price so you can splurge on other things.
