The Blueberry One Size Capri Cover has an updated style to have less binding across the front and back. The fit is a bigger at the leg opening for this new style version, This version does not have the binding at the front wing area or across baby's back. Chubby legs will fit this well.
This One-Size diaper runs quite large on a 12 pound baby but fits well beginning at around 4 or 5 months old or 15+ pounds at the smallest rise setting. It may fit to 40 pounds at the largest setting.
The cover is designed for tucking a diaper under the front and back flap. This is nice to help hold a trifolded diaper in place and it also keeps the PUL away from baby since the knit fabric is there on the flaps. But just because it has flaps doesn't mean you have to use them. You can still use this over fitted diapers or fastened prefolds! In a way, having the flaps there is the best of both worlds - wipe-clean and covered PUL. The part of the inside of the cover that is most likely to touch baby's skin is where the flap is, so that's nice. Yet the main part of the inside of the cover is exposed laminate which doesn't pick up moisture like the knit part can, so you may be able to re-use this through a few more changes than a true covered PUL cover. So it's not exactly a true wipe-clean but, like the Flip (Flip runs a bit smaller at the hips than Capri), it's mostly a wipe-clean cover. See the inside of the cover. The prints are really adorable. 100% polyester. Great for day or night. Roomy inside for adding doublers. Made in USA.
I love these diaper covers. I finally had to buy replacements when my sixth baby was born - they were shot after using them on my first five kids (10 years of use). Well worth the initial investment!
I love this cover! The pattern was my husband's pick, I couldn't decide. I've never had luck with covers with the inner flaps. I wondered how this would handle a blowout. I found out this morning. This cover kept all poo in so well, I'd been holding my son for 20 minutes before I realized the reason for his tears was his diaper. He'd been playing in his bouncer when he started fussing. He's teething so I was focused there. When I opened the diaper, the cover was heavily coated even on the snap flaps but none had oozed out! So glad we chose this cover.
This is a good cover, but I was expecting the same softness, quality, and fit as my preloved Blueberry Capris. It feels stiff and isn't stitched as neatly (looks like it's coming undone in the front legs but also seems to never have been stitched down initially). The fit is not as good as my preloved ones, too. Upon further inspection, my old ones are "Blueberry Capri Swaddlebees Size 2", not just OS Blueberry Capri. I love the colors and print (Prickly), but it's underwhelming for the fit and quality.
I love the quality of these Blueberry covers. I purchased this cover for my almost-3-year-old to replace her old Blueberry covers that are wearing out. Unfortunately, the new Capri version has a slightly smaller cut, so it doesn't completely cover her diaper at the back waistband. Of course, it would probably work fine for a younger child.
I hope I'll love this when she gets a bit bigger. I bought this to see if it would fit over the workhorses better during the in between phase shes in. It does. But it also left a digging line mark on her around the waist and I thought I had put in on on the loose side. Jury is still out but not in love like I wanted to be. As her body changes so might my opinion.
