The new styling of the One Size Capri Cover has binding only at the leg area. Notice the difference between the binding at the leg area and the binding at the wings.
The Blueberry One Size Capri Cover has an updated style to have less binding across the front and back. The fit is a bigger at the leg opening for this new style version, This version does not have the binding at the front wing area or across baby's back. Chubby legs will fit this well.
This One-Size diaper runs quite large on a 12 pound baby but fits well beginning at around 4 or 5 months old or 15+ pounds at the smallest rise setting. It may fit to 40 pounds at the largest setting.
The cover is designed for tucking a diaper under the front and back flap. This is nice to help hold a trifolded diaper in place and it also keeps the PUL away from baby since the knit fabric is there on the flaps. But just because it has flaps doesn't mean you have to use them. You can still use this over fitted diapers or fastened prefolds! In a way, having the flaps there is the best of both worlds - wipe-clean and covered PUL. The part of the inside of the cover that is most likely to touch baby's skin is where the flap is, so that's nice. Yet the main part of the inside of the cover is exposed laminate which doesn't pick up moisture like the knit part can, so you may be able to re-use this through a few more changes than a true covered PUL cover. So it's not exactly a true wipe-clean but, like the Flip (Flip runs a bit smaller at the hips than Capri), it's mostly a wipe-clean cover. See the inside of the cover. The prints are really adorable. 100% polyester. Great for day or night. Roomy inside for adding doublers. Made in USA.
I am so in love with Blueberry diapers! I wish I had discovered them at the beginning of my cloth journey! This capri cover is gorgeous and works so well for a pad fold for my prefolds!
These are not a great fit for my toddler- much too big and bunchie- the medium setting is too short for a medium prefold, and the large too long and leaves the diaper bunchie and saggy in the back. A lot of people like these for the gussets, but they’re not very effective if the cover is consistently too big.
I love Blueberry covers, they are fantastic. I have 4 of them with different designs. Although I love the Froggies, sadly, if your baby has green poop the green edging hides it if there is a little leaking. For this reason I won't by covers with yellow, green or brown edging anymore, lesson learned.
I started out using flip covers, which are great but imo they run a little small (my 10 month 20 lber is on the biggest setting). I then switched to using Nickis covers and fell in love!!! They are very roomy, stretchy and have held up very well. Great cover! I have heard how blueberry covers are generously sized and people rav about them so I shelled out the big bucks and tried the capri. I am thoroughly disappointed...it is not any bigger than my nickis covers and it's not in the least bit stretchy. It has an odd fit to it, my lo wears a gmd red edge and the capri needs to be on the highest rise to cover it. Also, I've only washed and line dried the cover 3 times and the edges where the flaps are sewn on have come completely undone. With that being said, the print is cute do I give it two stars just for that. Now, i also tried the coverall and love it (almost as much as nickis), very roomy and fits great, perfect over a fitted as well. It's ashame that they don't seem to be making the coverall anymore. Don't waste your money on the capri, it's not worth it.
We tried multiple configurations of the snaps at multiple different weights and the diaper never fit. The elastic at the leg opening does not go all the way around the leg, so we had multiple leaks and blow outs at the leg openings. The elastic around the back was too tight and doesn't extend to the front. Even when there was a large gap at the front, it cut into my daughter's back. The polyester that holds the insert in place is quite large, so when my daughter poops, it ends up mostly on the polyester cover and not on the insert. We had to wash the cover and her clothes almost every time, defeating the purpose of getting covers.
