Two-layer cotton sherpa doublers add absorbency to any cloth diaper.
Please wash on hot with detergent several times before first use.
About the fabric
This fabric lays flatter than the twill prefold fabric of the Cloth-eez doublers. It's a really nice fabric for a soft and squishy feel with no polyester. It's squishier than hemp and lays flatter than twill. A rare find in 100% cotton.
Close up after washing
I am still prepping these for my next little one due in September, so I can’t comment on absorbency yet. They have stayed very soft after several washes, and they have kept their shape well. The edges aren’t curling, and if they have shrunk it has been very evenly. The quality seems great.
I had no idea cotton Sherpa even existed! I love these doublers for newborn inserts (I use 2) and they will be great for extra absorbency when baby is bigger. They are super thin and don’t add much bulk while still providing good absorbency.
Sherpa doublers absorb a lot for their size. These are very trim and lay flat. They do not absorb as much as hemp but they are also not stiff like hemp and are more affordable which are wins in my book!
These are great doublers. Right now I am mostly using GMD Birdseye flats (origami fold) and prefolds (various brands). My daughter was soaking her diapers so I have been including doublers and a fleece stay dry liner. I use various brands of doublers made of hemp, bamboo and cotton. These work as well as the other doublers but are much thinner meaning I can put multiple layers of the Sherpa doubler if I wants. Great product. I recommend it to anyone looking to increase absorbency with a little less bulk
