This organic version is just like the Side Snap Simplex but this version is made of organic cotton inside. The unbleached organic cotton is organic prefold diaper fabric. It is very soft and the quilty fabric will require some flattening which is the nature of the prefold fabric. 12 layers of organic fabric smartly sewn to dry quickly with a pocket opening at both ends.

While this is truly an all-in-one diaper, we are also including it under "potty training" because the stretchy sides can make it work as a pull-up and pull-down diaper for the early stages of potty learning. It definitely is a diaper, but sometimes a diaper that can work as a quick pull-down is just the thing that is needed. Again, this is not the intended use, but depending on baby's shape and size, it sure can work this way as an alternative use. This is also wonderful for EC (elimination communication) for times when a pull-up, pull-down diaper is needed.

Side Snap Simplex by Blueberry is a good name for this all-in-one diapers because it snaps at the sides. This name helps to distinguish it from the one-size version. Really very stretchy! The cut is trim across the bottom. Average sized bottoms might really like this trim fit! Wide babies with big bellies can get a comfortable fit from this because the sides are so very stretchy. As cloth diapers go, this diaper is not bulky at all. So cute and handy for quick changes. Keep one in your diaper bag to use and also to show off to your cloth-nay-saying friends.

Karen doesn't recommend it at night because the stretchy side tabs are absorbent, unless you are choosing it for night for the special feature of being able to possibly pull it up and down for potty learning. If baby has just outgrown the Newborn Simplex, the medium Side-Snap will still be too big on baby in the rise for a little while yet. The sizes don't quite flow into each other and there is a size jump up from newborn to medium. Made in USA.

See this on a baby.

A unique all-in-one diaper design that combines the convenience of an all-in-one diaper while providing the absorbency adjustability of a pocket diaper.

It is made with a waterproof outer layer and 12 layers of 100% organic cotton twill fabric in the wet zone.

The diaper has pocket openings on both ends that allows you to increase the diaper's absorbency by adding extra inserts. This also enables any extra stuffed-in doubler or insert to agitate itself out in the wash. Half of the soaker pad is attached, while the other half also comes out through one of the pocket openings during the washing cycle. The result is a diaper that is thoroughly cleaned inside out and dries fast-either in the dryer or on the line.

one of my 2 favorite aio

I bought a handful of these for my older daughter when I was using AIO exclusively on her a couple years ago. They were my absolute favorite for her. They fit her perfectly, didn't pinch anywhere, and I could easily add absorbency in the pocket. On my younger daughter, who is now 1, these fit well, but not as perfectly as they did her sister (she fits in Smart Bottoms best) My older daughter was super chunky and is still a more sturdy build than my younger girl. The leg openings on these, even snapped to the smallest settings are still too large on her. We don't get leaks because of it, but I have to be extra mindful of rolling the cotton in so it's not exposed. Only a couple times have we had the issue of the stretchy snap area wicking moisture to clothes, but not enough to stop using these (and even so, this has only happened on my slim little one, never my older daughter.) My older daughter fit in larges all the way to potty learning around 3 years old- and she has been in the high 80-low 90 percentile for height since a couple months old. When she was in the closer to 3 age range, I could even stick a newbie prefold in there for extra absorbency vs my usual green edge small insert I use for these. I love that there is a pocket to easily add absorbency and to tuck the soaker into so there is no bunchy fabric against baby. The absorbency and soaker tongue always agitate out for us (in both our old top loader and new front loader). These always wash up properly and dry in one cycle on low.

Sides wick pee, leading to wet clothes almost immediately

So disappointed in these. I wish I’d read the reviews before buying. Unless you really don’t mind your baby (and you, assuming you hold your baby regularly) being wet, don’t get these! Maybe they’ll work better once my kiddo is bigger so less of the non-waterproof material overlaps with the absorbent part of the diaper, but for now they just don’t work for us. I tried using a doubler, but even when most of the diaper is totally dry, even the tiniest bit of pee seems to immediately soak the side material. It’s too bad because they do fit nicely and I really liked the newborn simplex diapers, so I really wanted to love these!

Green Mountain Diapers

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that these aren't working well for you at this point. Hopefully they will soon. This problem (leaking and uneven absorption) can be a result of not being fully prepped yet. Organic cotton inside is not whitened and thus needs to be washed in hot water at least 6 times with detergent before fully absorbent. To test for readiness take a dry one to the sink and pour water inside. The water should soak in instantly. If it does not, it still has the natural organic cotton oils still in the fabric and just needs more prepping. All in One diapers can take longer than 100% cotton organic unbleached diapers to prep because of the waterproof fabric sewn on. Once fully prepped they should absorb well and evenly, provided that the diaper is the right fit for the baby. Thanks for shopping with us and taking the time to leave feedback.

Best AIO diapers

I believe that Blueberry AIO diapers have the best design (both these side snap simplex diapers and the one-size simplex diapers) because the absorbent flap in the diaper flips out by itself in the wash, which is good for three reasons: 1. you don't have to touch anything gross when putting them in the washing machine, 2. it washes better, and 3. it dries faster as compared to diapers where the absorbent flap is sewn in at the front of the diaper like Thirsties, BumGenius, and Osocozy. I especially like these diapers because they have a narrower size range and are not one-size. I felt like they fit my babies better with less bulk. Plus, the flap tucks into a sort of sleeve so it doesn't get bunched up in their butt. My son fit in them until 18 months (sorry I don't remember when he started wearing them) and my daughter started fitting in them at 3 months (she's 4 months now).
