5 weeks old in size small. It's so soft and cute, you just want to keep on hugging him!

Above is a size medium on a 2 month old. It is big on him, but it will fit him for a long time, as he grows into it and gets taller. When I took this picture, he had been in this diaper and cover for over 4 hours. It was fine! Inside this is a size 1 Kissaluv and a Super Soaker Doubler. So there is a lot of cotton inside. The legs are too big on him, but it doesn't matter because of the shape. No leaks, no red marks on his legs or waist, and plenty of freedom of movement with this very soft and effective cover.

Above is a size medium. The one with the brown background on the covers page is a size small. The size large has an elasticized waist.

This is a close up of the picture above. Can you see how wonderfully soft it is?
Size Small has a shorter rise for a very young baby:

2 of Karen's kids. Katherine holding Kimmie at 19 pounds, 11 months old, in a Lana size large, which is over an organic fitted diaper. I love it!

11 months old.
Note from Karen: I started using this size large on Kimmie at 11 months old. Later, at almost 2.5 years old and I still used that very same size large on her. Great value! I used it a lot. At 30 pounds and 2.5 years she is a lot taller. Notice where the cover is now compared to her knees. It's still a wonderful cover even after 1.5 years of hard use! Wool outlasts synthetics because it can be relanolized.
The same well-used and well-loved Lana large after using it for one and a half years:
Large on 2.5 year old, 30 pounds.
Lansinoh lanolin and Eucalan Woolwash are on the Accessories page. Eucalan is important. Your wool covers will leak if the lanolin is stripped from them with regular woolwash. Wool does need to be handwashed, and occasional lanolization is helpful. But washing is needed only very infrequently, sometimes only once a month. Wool airs out to fresh easily.

$50.00 each size large, 20 to 30 pounds

Night weight covers are also available, but not in size small because we think the extra thickness of wool is not needed for such young babies. Night are a thicker, containing more wool, thus more absorbency. Night weight seams are on the outside.
