Please note our recommend age for fit. Please ignore the tagged sizes and use our sizes shown in the drop down box.  We have measured them and are offering them with corrected sizes as shown in the drop down box.  The rise measurement is from the bottom of the crotch to the waistband. Size is the overall size including width. Bigger sizes are wider and roomier. The larger the rise, the more night diaper can fit underneath it. To compare, measure a pair of pants that fits your baby over whatever you would use underneath these. Use that rise measurement and your baby's age to pick your correct size. A larger rise gives you lots of room for a big night diaper. A shorter rise will be trimmer. Each pair is unique and individually knit so each pair is a little different so we took the time to measure and identify each pair so it correctly reflects the size.  We want your beauiful Kusikuy alpaca to fit perfectly and be your favorite thing to put on your baby. They are so soft and durable.  Wow! These are so lovely.

Please wash by hand.

kusikuy alpaca baby pants compare knits dark brown is thicker than light brown. The thicker dark brown contains more alpaca so it costs more and is warmer. The thinner light brown is lighter weight and costs less. Both are amazingly soft!

Two-layer alpaca is an effective, breathable diaper cover fabric. These lovely baby pants are two layers and are both the diaper cover and the clothing. Alpaca is more durable than merino wool and also very soft. No dyes! The lovely gender-neutral brown color is the actual color of the super-fine grade alpaca fiber. The second layer is basically a pair of shorts connected at the top inside. See the inside and more pictures on babies. Yes, for real, you really can machine wash these on a very gentle or wool cycle, lay flat to dry, and not bother lanolizing. I don't lanolize but I still prefer to hand-wash my daughter's pants because I think hand washing my lovely wools and alpaca is fun and not hard to do. These pants are night-worthy yet suitable for day wear as your favorite pants, no diaper separate cover needed. Fair trade made conscientiously in Bolivia, these pants are a custom-ordered item hand-knitted for Green Mountain Diapers.

Hand knit in Bolivia, fair trade, good wages. I really mean "hand knit" - with knitting needles, and that circular piece that connects the needles to make the circle. They are not made on a machine but are actually hand-knit by women, providing jobs and income for the indigenous women in rural Bolivia as an extra thing as they go about their lives. This is very small-scale and custom. No sweat-shop manufacturing at all for these. They are really quite homemade by highly skilled knitters. These are so lovely. The tan color will vary from tan to brown but all of the shades are lovely and alpaca is so soft and wonderful! There is no need to lanolize these. Alpaca is very hypo-allergenic since there is no sheep's lanolin on them. Once you try and know alpaca, you'll be sold on it and not even want to use any other pants.

All sizes now have a button adjustable waistband.

Measurements will vary a little and finish work will vary, too. These really are hand knit on needles so expect variations which is part of the beauty of them.

If I could give this a higher rating, I would. Don't be put off by the price - these are worth every single cent! My son loves these as much as I do & it's actually a fight to be able to wash them! Also, they hold up shockingly well to all kinds of rough & tumble toddler-boy abuse - they are just amazing!

I do t have they double layer but I have some of their single layer pants and they're awesome! They're so durable and easy to keep clean. I could see a double layer pair being even more absorbant and you could probably buy a couple pairs and be all set for longies for as long as they fit, they also dry very fast. A great product.

I just opened my diaper haul which included these wool pants.. and iam beyond happy with them...super soft.. not too heavy and they have elasticity to them.. i ordered a 4T for my dd who is 18mon, 24lbs, 32 in.... i ordered a size bigger because of the price and dont regret it.. they run narrow enough that they wont fall down and the adj. elastic is a beautiful bonus which allows sizing up without any concerns... once I use them I will comment on how well they worked for us :)

I ordered the 2T for my chubby 15m.o. These are GREAT! They look nice. They are warm. They are soft. I did not even lanolize them and they work great. I use them with the Workhorse fitteds. And I can still go several hours between changes. If she totally saturates the diaper, of course the pants get damp. And since my teenagers are usually responsible for diaper changes. . . I need a second pair so that I can have one drying while she is wearing the other.
