Affectionately known as "GMD Prefolds". These are hard-to-find, top quality, heavyweight 100 % cotton twill diapers. These are the real thing, and so very well made. They are far superior to the store bought kind, and will stand up to repeated washings. Don’t overlook this very economical way to diaper! It works very well. Plus, they wash and dry very easily and never get that "icky polyester stink". It’s very easy to pin these diapers on babies who don’t yet roll over. But you don't have to pin them. You can just fold the diaper in thirds and place it in a wrap style cover. The preemie or newborn size can be used a doubler later on. Use the toddler size as a nice, soft, washable, vinyl-free changing pad for a young baby. Our prefolds "quilt up" after washing. You will not be disappointed in these wonderful, versatile diapers. Prefolds of this high quality and weave are not made in the USA anymore, therefore must be imported. There are many brands of prefolds on the market, but we feel these are the very best fabric, 100% Indian cotton, 4-8-4 ply, with the strongest edge stitching available, and custom sized for prefold perfection. What is "prefolded" about "prefolds"? They have a thick center panel. Non-prefolded diapers are huge one-layer old fashioned diapers, which need to be folded many times to get them into a cover or onto a baby. We carry those below, called Flat White Diapers. These prefolds are already folded to have many layers in the center.
If you have 2010, 2009, 2008 or older Cloth-eez® prefold diapers make note of slight size changes. All measurements are approximate, taken at rest and can be pulled wider. There is some variation. Prefold diapers shrink differently from batch to batch and diaper to diaper. Normal variation can be up to 15%. We provide shrunk measurements for selection purposes only. The measurements are helpful, but they cannot be exact due to the nature of this wonderful and beloved fabric. This is the normal nature of this product, for all brands, from all country sources. Most sites don't even give any shrunk measurements at all. We try to give as much correct information as we can, but please understand these are not ever going to be exact due to the nature of the prefold fabric. All of our prefold diapers are 4-8-4 ply, except preemie which are 2-6-2 ply, and are all high quality cotton.

Cloth-eez® Small Yellow edge (14"x15.5" when new), 12.5" wide x 13.5" long when fully shrunk. Fits 10 pounds to about 6 months old or about 15 pounds or so but this varies a lot. Fits in most size small covers. 4-8-4 ply. Yellow edges, made in Pakistan. 100% "Indian" cotton.
New Wide Baby Size (16"x17" when new) 15" wide x 15 or so long when fully shrunk. Fits in most medium covers. From about 14 pounds or so to 11 months. This is instead of red edge for babies who grow heavy and wide at a young age. For example, babies who are 16 pounds at 4 months, or 20 pounds at 5 months, or similar will like this. Most babies will skip this size, but if baby is young and wide, it is nice to have the width without extra length. It is as wide as a large brown but shorter than a medium red edge. Chlorine-free white made in Pakistan, 100% "Indian" cotton. Fits in Medium covers. Available only in white cotton with white edges.
Cloth-eez® Medium Red edge (15"x18.5" when new) 13" wide x 15.5 or so long when fully shrunk. Fits in most medium covers. From about 14 pounds or so, perhaps 5 months or so and older. Chlorine-free white made in Pakistan, 100% "Indian" cotton.
Cloth-eez® Large Brown edge (16.5"x20" when new) 14.5" wide x 17.75" long when fully shrunk. Fits in most size large covers and also works well for the second half of the weight range in many medium size covers, usually for babies 20 pounds and up, but fit has lots of variation. Chlorine-free white made in Pakistan, 100% "Indian" cotton.
Cloth-eez® Toddler size green edge (17"x23" when new), 15.5" wide x 20" long when fully shrunk. For over age 18 months, or for a night diaper for over age 12 months to potty learning age. Premium 4-8-4 ply. Full size toddlers. Made in Pakistan. 100% "Indian" cotton.
White Prefolds. Our white prefold diapers are CHLORINE-FREE, peroxide bathed, NOT chlorine bleached. It's dioxin-free and acid-free, known as "natural bleaching process". All cotton must be degummed in some manner before it can absorb. I'll repeat, our white diapers are chlorine-free. But of course, we do recommend washing them several times, usually 4 or 5 cycles, before use to prepare them for use. ALL diapers of all kinds and brands should be washed several times before use. They will shrink and get soft and quilty after washing.
Unbleached prefold diapers run a little smaller than white because they tend to shrink a bit more. They have not been de-gummed and must be washed many times in hot water to remove the natural cotton oils from them. They will not absorb until washed enough times to remove the natural cotton oils, which could be 6 cycles or more.
Pick your correct size by seeing prefold pictures. Generally, size newborn prefolds fit in size newborn or XSmall covers, size small prefolds fit in size small covers. Size medium fit in medium covers, size large in size large covers. But there is overlap, and cover brands sizing varies, so pay attention to the weight range recommended for your particular covers. This "size name of prefold fits into size name of cover" works very well in Bummis Super Whispers and Super Brites and also Thirsties covers, for example.

Certified organically grown "Indian" unbleached cotton. Just like our regular Indian cotton unbleached Cloth-eez prefolds shown above, but the cotton meets meet GOTS standards under EKO Sustainable Textile scheme. We are thrilled to offer these lovely prefolds! It has been a dream of mine (Karen) to have true prefold diapers in organically grown cotton for many years, and I am thrilled to have these available. Enjoy! The cotton is very nice. Starting measurements are close to the same as the regular white prefolds by color except yellow can be a teeny bit wider in organic and red organic can be a teeny bit narrower and shorter than red regular. They are pretty close to the same as regular but there is normal variation in the fabric shrinkage of up to 15% as always with this type of fabric. See comparison picture. There is something extra-nice about organically grown cotton. 100% cotton, unbleached, certified organic "Indian" cotton, made in Pakistan.
Our organic cotton diapers are very economical. Compared to our conventional cotton diapers above, the newborn size costs just 33 cents more per diaper, and other sizes no more than 66 cents each more per diaper. As organic cotton items go, this is a fabulous value. We love organic! Updated fully shrunk measurements are below for our new shipment. Shrinkage will vary somewhat. Measurements are approximate.
How do these organic prefolds compare to the prefolds in white and unbleached sold above? The sizes are about the same in newborn orange and medium red. In small yellow and large brown, organic run bigger, both a bit wider and longer. Chubby young babies might prefer the organic yellow edge. Usually organic are a bit thicker and quilt a bit less and thus are a teeny tiny bit more absorbent, but really, they are pretty close to each other except for how the cotton was grown and of course having the very difficult-to-get but wonderful certification. It's a big accomplishment to get certified! We are very happy with these diapers. But can you tell them apart in real use? No, not really. Both kinds are great diapers.

Our newest addition. Wonderful 100% cotton prefold diaper fabric in fitted diaper shape with a built in flap style doubler. Did you ever wish your lovely prefolds were shaped like a fitted? There is no better diapering fabric than the cotton prefold fabric. It washes so easily and wears so well. No polyester stink, no repelling, no special detergents are needed for 100% cotton diapers. The snaps are covered by the cotton fabric inside so no snaps touch baby. The flap style doubler is sewn inside in the back only inside for quick drying. Newborn size is trim and tiny thus there is no flap in the newborn size, which is a "first weeks" size diaper. After the very beginning you can add a small Workhorse doubler to it sold separately. Cloth-eez® Sherpa Diapers

2 layers of 100% cotton make this sherpa knit fabric soft, squishy and stretchy. There are 2 layers throughout the entire diaper; no thick center panel. Since it's the same thickness all over, you can use it in either direction. Like all unbleached items, wash several times on hot before first use. They are harder to prep than some diapers since they are very unbleached and untreated, but once the cotton oils are washed off, they are thirsty. Trifold it and place it in a cover, or you can pin it or snappi it. Also makes a nice flat cotton stuffer to replace stinky microfiber for synthetic pocket diapers, hybrids or gCovers. It's so nice to have diaper that really fits a newborn. When you are just starting out with cloth on a brand new baby, many new parents get overwhelmed with the size of the diapers as huge compared to their tiny, or even big, newborn. Thus, we have designed this to make those first 2 or 3 months or so really easy. It has enough absorbency for a newborn without too much bulk and soft cotton leg gathers to contain that runny breastfed poop. Older little ones may need a doubler added for more absorbency. 100% cotton, flannel on outside, 3 layers of cotton terry inside. No microfiber, no polyester, nothing to retain odors. Just pure and wonderful easy washing 100% cotton. The front folds down for umbilicial cord healing. Choose Aplix hook-and-loop closure or snap closure. Snap closure fits a little larger than the Aplix version although they are the exact same pattern. That is typical of snap closing diapers because snaps are small and Aplix is 1 inch tall, so it makes a difference in the fit on a tiny one. Snug-to-Fit Supreme one-size fitted diapers

Adjustability in a one-size fitted diaper without bulk at the hips. These diapers have soft cotton leg gathers and an inner panel which is like a doubler built in. They snap down to make three different sizes! Cotton flannellette outsides with cotton terry sandwiched inside the flannellette. The soft flannellette touches baby. These are 100% cotton which is surprisingly very hard to find in a non-organic fitted diaper. Do not confuse our Snug-to-Fit Supreme with other diapers called just Snug-to-Fit, which may have up to 10% polyester in them, or not have cotton terry inside. We only carry the 100% cotton version, which is the best. This is the trimmest (least bulky) of the fitteds. We recommend doublers with this diaper for older babies, since it is a trim diaper. Made in Canada. One size fits most 7-35 pounds, but we think they are best at over 13 pounds. At the highest rise setting, this fits many 3 year olds. This is an extremely adjustable diaper through a very large size range, narrow or wide hips. Plus it's economically priced for a fitted diaper. But wait! There's more~ this washes cleanly and easily in today's newer low-water usage washing machines.
When you choose fitted diapers, it is important to have a cover that fits over them well. They don't fit under Bummis Original, but do fit under all other covers we sell, but not newborn size covers, except you can get them under a newborn Litewrap and pull-on style covers. Snug-to-Fits are wonderful under size medium and large Bummis Super covers, Thirsties and other covers. New 2011 stain-hiding earth tones. The color is only on the outside layer of cotton. The inside is dye-free white. Still 100% cotton troughout. This diaper does require a cover.

Growing Greens by Babee Greens is a one-size fitted diaper. Our trimmest fitting diaper! Narrower through the rear and narrower through the crotch than our other fitted diapers, thus nice for fitting under regular clothing. They are quite adjustable through a very large size range, narrow hips to wide hips. A snap-in doubler can be removed for little ones then snap it in for older babies. They don't take forever to dry, either. Very absorbent! This is a wonderful diaper for those who prefer snaps. It's trim enough to make it work under Bummis Super Whisper Wraps. A wonderful choice for heavy wetters. Aplix® closures on beautiful, thick organically grown cotton. Hand picked organically grown unbleached Egyptian cotton. Nice and thick and absorbent. Fold back tabs that actually fold back easily. Simple, no flap style makes it very easy to use. The most absorbent of the fitted diapers! This is a lovely, wonderful diaper for those who prefer organically grown cotton and like hook-and-loop closures. Thick and absorbent. Fits best on wide babies. Newborn fits 7 to 14 pounds. Not as thick as the larger sizes, but still very substantial. This is our most absorbent newborn diaper, it is not a teeny tiny diaper so it doesn't get outgrown too quickly. Thus, it will not fit under tiny newborn covers such as Bummis Super Brite size newborn. It needs a larger cover than that. It will fit under a Litewrap newborn, Imse Vimse newborn, Bummis Super Brite or Super Whisper size small, Thirsties Duo and Thirsties Covers and others. Mommy's Touch one-size covers (but not the adjustable newborn one which is too tiny for this) or Bummis Whisper Pant nylon pull-on newborn are really great with UTN. Cloth-eez® Square Birdseye Flat Diapers

large has green stitch, small has yellow stitch.
100% cotton birdseye diaper that shrink to close to a square. Size small shrinks to about 27.5 inches by 27.5 inches, and 28x29 inches before washing. Size large shrinks to about 29x29 inches when shrunk and 33x35 inches before washing. Small is good birth to potty learning. THey are not very small at all. Large is good if you are starting flats with a baby over 6 months old. I think the size large is too much diaper for a newborn. Now, birdseye is a variable fabric and they will never be perfect squares consisently with any brand due to the nature of the fabric, but these are the most "square" birdseye we have had in many years. We think these the best we've ever had overall for squareness after washing and they are soft. Unbleached is a little softer than white, but white tend to lay a bit flatter at the edges than unbleached do. Versatile and easy-washing. Please don't expect perfection for squareness. It's just not possible with this fabric. They are only available by the dozen. They are very nice, high quality cotton birdseye weave. For easy size identification, small has a yellow edge stitch on 2 ends and large has a green stitch on 2 ends. That color in the stitch is really helpful so you know which you are reaching for and helpful when sorting the laundry. Made in Pakistan.

Where are all the other diapers?
We only sell 100% cotton diapers because we love cotton and feel that it is by far the best diapering fabric. I've tried everything, and cotton is the winner for me. We do have cotton inside All-In-Ones. We do have best prefolds you can buy anywhere and a few wonderful choices of 100% cotton fitted diapers. What more do you need? Cotton diapering is the best, I think. More detail about fabrics and our soapbox opinions are on the diaper definitions page. For those who want them, we do have some stay-dry liners and doublers on the doublers page. Stay-dry doublers don't have elastics so they wash better than built synthetic stay dry materials, in my experience. Plus then you can choose to use them or not so you aren't stuck with the stay dry built-in. The result - easy washing and flexible diapering. Enjoy!
