This cover feels great on baby's delicate skin and on mommy's arms holding the baby. The softness of cotton is fabulous. It's very cuddly without the bulk of wool or fleece. I love Cot N Wrap, especially on babies with thin legs. Chubby legs do not fit this cover.
One of Karen's personal favorites in size newborn. Why? It fits well on little or big newborns as you can see from the pictures below. And since you don't know how big baby will be until baby arrives, it's a good bet. The drawback of the cover is that it's not as durable as other covers if you wash it harshly, but that's not much of an issue in size newborn because baby will outgrow it long before it wears out. The benefit of good fit, ability to fit over all kinds of diapers (little diapers or big ones) and the lovely softness of this cover makes it one of my favorites in size newborn.

Infant Fitted Diaper. This baby is taller and thinner than the baby below, who is lighter but shorter and wider. The same cover fits differently on different babies. This is true for all products. Babies vary a lot!
5 days old in size Newborn, birthweight was 7 lbs 5 oz, but is about 6 pounds 13 ounces in the picture.

Size newborn on 10 week old almost 12 pound baby. It still fits, but just barely.
Same day, same baby as above. Size small. Fits well with room to grow. Note how the legs do not gap. They are snug. This is a great choice for thin-legged newborns. Most newborns really do have very skinny legs.
5 weeks old, 11 pounds 11 ounces, in size small. This is a very big baby.
Unlike the very big 5 week old above in a size small above, the baby below is also in a size small, but she is very tiny. She is 6 months old.
Cot'n Wrap is great on petite babies like this 12 pound 6 month old.
Green Mountain Diapers began offering the Cot N Wrap cover in 2004. In the past, we were not happy with this cover, and if you look around on the internet you will see that it did not get rave reviews. Please ignore all reviews posted prior to 2004. It's just not the same cover. This is a new version of the cover, and now we love it! If it is cared for properly, it does last and the softness of the cotton inside and out is absolutely lovely. To care for it, simply machine wash on cold and hang it up to dry. You may ask,"If it's cotton on the inside, won't that get wet inside?"Well, yes it does, if you air out the cover between uses, you can re-use the cover many times. Cotton does not retain odors like polyester does. I am able to reuse this cover about twice as long as a polyester cover before it needs to be washed! I find that amazing but true. If you are really diligent and now and then run the cover under sink water to rinse it like the package instructions say, you can go even longer between washings. (I'm not that diligent, and I toss it in the wash with my colored laundry on cold.) Warning, though, if you wash it on hot with the diapers it will not last very long.

A large Cot N Wrap on a toddler. The soft material is wonderful. It feels so nice!. The full cut styling is great over most fitted diapers. Please note that the leg openings are small. Fine on thin legs but don't work well on chubby legs.
