Shipping Cloth-eez® Prefold Diapers to Canada

We have had many requests to ship the Cloth-eez prefold diapers to Canada. You may order them here in the groupings listed only. Our site does not have a live shipping calculator, so we figured out in advance how much the various options cost. These groupings fit in a medium flat rate box which costs $32.95 to ship to Canada. No additional shipping will be added to your order at the checkout, assuming you are only ordering prefolds because the shipping of $32.95 is already included in the price you will see when you add a grouping to your cart.
You must understand that you are responsible for any tax, duty, customs brokers fees or any other chargest which could be imposed. Please read this article to understand Shipping to Canada before you order. It really is expensive.
We use the Post Office Priority Mail International flat rate boxes to ship to Canada size medium ($32.95). This is actual cost, as you can see here at USPS . Yes, the shipping really does cost more than the diapers in some cases. This is still cheaper than UPS for you.
Please understand this is the lowest actual cost. If you can find a less expensive way for us to get them to you, we would be thrilled! Please let us know! Think of it. It actually costs $26.95 in shipping to get them to Canada! That leaves $1.00 left to cover the cost of the product? No. It doesn't work. They cost a whole lot more than a dollar to buy the cotton, weave the cotton, sew the cotton, etc. So you see by doing the math that it really is necessary to charge actual shipping in order to get them to Canada, and for 12 years we did not offer any shipping to Canada for this reason. That might be the best thing really. But for now we are trying this because so many have requested it. I know it costs a lot so I don't encourage this, but we offer it because so many Canadian moms have requested it. So please be considerate before you post complaints on message boards about "GMD's expensive shipping to Canada". It's really the Post Office that is expensive because that is really the actual cost, and yes, it is expensive. First class rates do not apply for orders over 3 pounds thus Priority is the only option because of the weight. Please don't order if you are unhappy paying the cost. We want you to be happy with your diapers and enjoy them completely. If it's worth it to you, you can afford it and you are ok with the cost, great. If not, that's ok to. You can find really nice Bummis prefolds in Canada easily. They are good diapers! I promise we strive to offer reasonably priced diapers and never try to oversell or get people to buy things they don't need. We actually work hard in the opposite direction. We strive to get people to not spend more than is necessary and encourage people to consider their budget when making their decisions. We explain the good and bad about products and don't hype anything. This is clear by our focus on flats and prefold diapers as the backbone of baby's cloth diapering wardrobe. You can find all of your cloth diapering needs other than Cloth-eez in Canada, and it will be less expensive than ordering from GMD in the USA, so we do not offer shipping of items already available in Canada. We offer just the prefolds (and flats) if you happen to need the sizes from GMD.

If you can figure out from the chart what fits in a medium flat rate box you can go ahead and order from the diapers page and add custom shipping from below. If it doesn't fit, we'll send you an email.

We can send Workhorse fitted diapers in a Medium Flat Rate Box in the same way. Go to the Workhorse diaper page to order. Keep the amounts ordered to what fits in a medium flat rate box. You can mix up sizes keeping these amounts in mind. That is, we can fit 14 newborn and 12 small yellow edge Workhorse in 1 medium flat rate box, for example. These are maximum amounts listed and the box is well-stuffed with these amounts. Please add the postage from the flat rate box shipping from the "just the shipping to Canada custom" to your order from below. Without the shipping, we will not process the order. It really does cost that much to ship and I'm sorry about that. You could do 1 dozen newborn prefolds and 12 Workhorse size newborn. That kind of combination would work. Use the main diapers page if you do that, not the section above so the shipping works right. Please don't order other things too. Just Workhorse and/or prefolds. Everything else is available in Canada anyhow for lower overall cost anyhow. But these prefolds and fitteds are not otherwise available so we offer this limited shipping.

Just the shipping to Canada custom
If you have an order of prefolds or flats that fits in a medium flat rate box which is 100% cotton diapers but it's a selection not shown above, or the Workhorse diaper amounts as listed above, you can add it to the cart from the main site and also add this item below for $26.00. The cart will calculate the $6.95 shipping so when you add this the shipping will be correct for $32.95. This works for 1 or 2 dozen of the Cloth-eez Organic Birdseye diapers, for example.
