The Bummis All-in-One is easy to use. It is a true all in one with all the parts sewn together in one piece, but it still opens up for easy washing. There is a stay-dry fabric on one side of the sewn-on doubler which you can choose to put next to baby's bottom or you can tuck it in the pocket and use the cotton next to baby. Either way is fine and you can choose which fabric you and your baby prefer. The absorbent cotton is made of organic cotton and it is unbleached, so wash it a few times before using it. Unbleached cotton does need several wash cycles before it reaches full absorbency. Near the leg bindings and in the top back and front is a soft polyester fleece fabric. This fleece fabric in these places helps to stop leaks because it keeps the wet part away from the edges of the diaper. It is a nice design.

No stuffing, no snapping in of inserts and no folding - simply adjust it to the size of your baby and snap it on.

A beautifully TRIM diaper with incredible absorption, thank to ultra-performing fabrics made to our specifications, that absorb rapidly and hold lots of liquid.

Our unique interior pocket:

Allows you to choose whether to put organic cotton or a stay-dry fabric against your baby’s delicate skin.

Enables you to add more absorbance simply by adding an insert for nighttime diapering or heavy wetters.

Makes it easy to wash out clean and dry fast simply by inverting the diaper! No hidden layers that will trap smelly residues.

The organic cotton fabric on the interior of the diaper is designed to shrink slightly during the first washes and create a natural gusset for a secure and leak proof fit. Comfortable, secure fitting and stretchy elastic around baby’s legs. Solid snaps of extraordinary quality! In short – this diaper is the result of almost 30 years of experience in making diapers that really work. Made with love by Bummis in our factory in Canada using fabrics manufactured in Canada and the USA. Free of lead, phthalates and BPA.

The Lumberjack print has organic cotton and ZORB inside. This increases absorbency. The other colors do not have Zorb but do have organic cotton. All colors have the stay dry layer.

I really like this new AIO by Bummis. I have a very skinny boy and peeing out leg gussets is an issue in a lot of diapers. I have never (knock on wood) had any leakage issues in this diaper. That gets it a star right there. I think its very easy to use and dry. I drip dry my diapers. I pull the insert out when I wash and dry and compared to other AIO diapers this dries fast! I let them sit for 24 hours after I lay them out to dry and its always dry in that time period. To loosen the fabric if I think it feels too rough after drip drying I toss it in the dryer for 5 min to soften it up. My only 'negative' about this diaper (which makes this a 4 out of 5 not a full 5 star rating) is the inter layer that is underneath the primary fabric. You cannot see it in photos, but can feel it when you stuff the doubler inside. This bunches up when washed/dryed. I have to manually go in and try to straighten it out. Its not hard. Its way easy to do, just takes that extra 5 seconds. Its not attached I am assuming to help with dry time, but can cause a bulge if not flattened. Once washed I always grab this diaper right away. Its in may primary rotation. My husband loves it because its easy for him to use, and anything to make diapering easier on him is a win in my book! At the end of the day, yes, I do suggest this diaper.

Despite the hefty price tag and my aversion to synthetic materials, I was too intrigued not to try one of these new diapers. After using it on my daughter for a few weeks, I admit to liking it more than I thought I would. The waterproof PUL is very nice. It is lightweight and silky (not thick and a bit crunchy as I find with Smart Bottoms, among others), and the prints are cute (I ordered Forest Animals). The polyester that surrounds the absorbent cotton inside is thin and pilled immediately with washing, but it seems sturdy enough to hold up. The organic cotton has a neat dimpled appearance that isn’t as nice feeling as it is looking; it is a little bit rough when running your hand over it, so, not sure how it would feel pressed up against a bum. Beware - it took forever to prep (almost as many washings as the Smart Bottoms, which are notoriously laborious). The attached insert is interesting; it feels almost like wetsuit material, somewhat stiff and springy. Both sides of the insert are the same silky soft material, but to call it “stay dry” is a bit far-reaching, as running your finger lightly across it will leave your skin more than a little damp. I leave the insert out because it’s softer than the cotton, not because she feels drier in it and is willing to go longer in between changes. This diaper fits great, and I would assume it adjusts well to fit any size or shape of baby. I use it on the smallest rise setting and second row out from the middle snaps for the waist setting for my daughter who is a little over 12 lbs and 24 inches. It is not, however, a trim fit. It is a bit bulky, especially around the hips, and gives baby that sort of cinched-waist look. A slight annoyance when putting it on is that the elastic on the back of the waist makes it so that the diaper won’t lie flat but actually fold in on itself, and is therefore difficult to slip under baby’s bum one-handed. Absorbency is good, not great. If you plan to use for nap or nighttime, then you will need to add a pretty hefty insert or doubler. There are two thinnish layers of the cotton - one is sewn directly to the polyester edging material, and another flap is sewn at both ends inside the diaper. If you want this diaper to dry before your child potty trains, then you absolutely have to turn it inside-out after washing (which is an annoying extra step).
Overall, I like this diaper and would happily use more of them if given to me. But if I’m going to spend this kind of money for an AIO, I will be spending it on the Smart Bottoms, hands down.
